Why am I having such a hard time...(tires)

locating 275/35/19s(RE11 or AD08) anywhere in Toronto...asked my own shop, who asked a few places too..asked Tirecraft(nothing, but he said he'll double check for me)..I just want my summers

i guess i'll have to order from TireRack soon

Thats because you can't get RE-11s or AD08s in 275/35/19s. The AD08s come in 275/30 and I think the RE-11s come in 285/35.

Yeah, that was what I gathered from browsing on Tirerack ...but when I purchased my wheels originally, I was told otherwise..didn't bother to check until now

not sure what I should be using on a 19x10 rear wheel...I asked for 285/30/19 too

You could run a 295/30 on the rear in the AD08. Will work with a 10" rim.

Just hurry up and buy tires - you and Turb934 are killing me!

I'm trying, nothing is working in my favour! I will look into other sizes though, just didn't want it to have reverse effect on performance.

That's what I figured too, but I think the problem is..I was advised the wrong sizes to begin with

I am running 255/35 and 295/30 for the past few weeks and the car feels great. I have noticed the benefit of the extra rubber on the back and cant say I have noticed any understeer whatsoever. So that may be some food for thought. Happy hunting!

but you're running on 10.5" rears right? ...just that I've been told by a few individuals that the ideal size for a 10" is 275/35 or 285/30...but I'll definitely be unhappily hunting with such great weather

Yeah I am which is more optimal for a 295. You can run a 295 on a 10" wheels - cant imagine you would notice much if any difference. If you can find the tires you want in a 275 or 285 with the right rolling diameter go for it - 295 I think is still a option.

I can't find the tires that I like in the sizes that are ideal....and after looking at the tread pattern between RE-11 and AD08 ..i have to say..I'm a bigger fan of the RE-11s. Going to go with the 245/35/19 and 285/35/19's at this point. Will report back!

What rims are you using?
285/35 with a RE-11 might rub, its wide tire.
You will need to run the right wheel, right ride height and camber.
Personally I think the 245 and 285 combo is poor choice and will induce a lot of understeer, but thats just me.

If you are set on running AD08 or RE-11s, you can run the AD08s in 265/30 front and 295/30 rear.

Neez Eurocross 19x8.5 fronts and 19x10 rear..

I'm pretty set on the RE-11, not so much the AD08s...but granted my limited selection I cannot be too picky...but from what it seems like, the difference is minimal for your recommended set up.. but the recommended width range for 295/30/19 is 10.5-11.5 ..not sure if that's too applicable for me

Fronts
Speedometer Difference: 1.980% too fast
Diameter Difference: 1.95%

Rears
Speedometer Difference: 1.315% too fast
Diameter Difference: 1.3%

I'm not sure how these numbers work, but since I'm on a lease..I wonder how many more KM's I'll be picking up with this set up

Edit: i figured that km's out..not a big concern..but the wheel width is..
