Abortion..Who's choice?

Dont really want to go thru details but say a girl was pregnant.

Say one partner wants the baby and one partner doesnt want the baby.

Who has the choice? Not married. Just dating.

I'd say the girl, it's in her body...and she is the one who would need to get the abortion.

The woman of course. You can't force a woman to have an abortion.

I think its 100% the woman's choice.

The rub (no pun intended is) is that you as the male are going to be financially responsible for the child and you don't get a say in that whatsoever... so you are on the hook no matter what.

While I must admit that is a terribly helpless situation to be in (for the guy who wants out) in the end it takes two to tango, so you are at fault just as much as she is and are just going to have to take your lumps for the next 18. *shrug*

Wear a rubber man. It's never worth the risk of what I just mentioned above.

(uneducated guess) I'd think so. But would he still have to pay child support? I guess so since he knocked her up...sucky situation

Couldn't tell.

Dude that sucks. The child shouldn't be harmed, especially if her as the mother isn't smoking/etc while the child is being developed. THAT is the part that could screw the baby up, not if you've been doing it - That just attributes to you being less likely to make her pregnant in the first place. I would hate for the woman I'd been with for so many years to not want to keep it if I did. Ugh. I think legally it comes down to her right though since it's "her body" and not "yalls baby" yet.

If you're not in any sort of legally binding contract (see: marriage) then you're probably SOL my friend if she wants to abort.

there shouldn't be a choice, period.

it's a human life no matter what. if you don't want the kid, have it and drop it off at a hospital or orphanage.

while i understand your stance, the latter can often be worse than not bringing a child into a home that isn't ready for it. with all the red tape and problems with the adoption system, i tend to think that's not a good idea. hell, the child will probably spend the first years of it's like bouncing between foster families. that's something no child should experience if no arrangements can be made prior to the child's birth.
