Should I put a Sprint Booster on my e92 DCT?
I have a Sprint Booster from my old 550i Sport (traded in November). I have held off putting it on the M3 because the throttle response seems fairly solid on my the M3. Does anyone use the automatic version of the Sprint Booster on an M3? What has been your experience with it?

I have the Tunermotor sport sprint booster on my 6MT M3 and I love it
. I think its the best mod you really feel and notice the throttle response out of the car ![]()

Yes! I recently put one on mine. I got the 2 stage adjustable Sprint Booster from bimmerworld. It's so much better. Sport button really has nothing on the Sprint Booster IMO.

its supposed to make the throttle response more aggressive. kind of like the 'sport' button... but its a sport button on crack. cos the throttle is much more aggressive than normal sport setting. but i think the sport is aggressive enough. cant imagine how hard it would be to drive the car if it was any more aggressive.

i'll try to explain it the best i can. the sprint booster basically cuts down the reaction time from the throttle pedal input to the actual throttle bodies opening up. kind of like how the car would be if it weren't drive-by-wire. there is some lag from that initial throttle input to when the engine actually responds to this input. without it, even with the sport button on there was still significant initial throttle response lag. i rarely find the need to use the sport button anymore since i got it.
it helps considerably (for me at least) for my everyday driving. being that i have a 6MT, i found it difficult to properly modulate the throttle like i would on a cable-actuated car because the throttle wasn't responding to my pedal input fast enough. i kind of want to say it's almost like the CDV on a manual transmission car. doesn't matter how fast you let out the clutch there's still going to be a restriction. think of the sprint booster as a CDV delete for your gas pedal? bimmerworld has free shipping on this thing and on top of that they have a 30 day money back guarantee. i don't work for bimmerworld or anything. i just like the product and i think any drive-by-wire bmw should be like this from the factory. sorry for the long post and my lack of clearly explaining the product. turner and bimmerworld are two sites i know that carry it, they have pictures and descriptions there that you guys can check out.

Yeah, now that improved my throttle response without making each mode feel less linear.

Here is the description from us. They are like gold on an auto car because you can make it shift the way you want it to. Personal preference on a manual and nice for cars that don't come with a Sport button.

I think it's pretty redundant on our cars, since we have sport and sport+ anyways. I agree with Tightie, just get a tune instead. More power + they can make your throttle more sensitive if you ask for it.
I know they're good for like, Volkswagens and stuff, and my buddy has a Blitz unit in his Honda, and loves it....but relatively useless in our cars I think.

I love this sprint booster and just for the record my Car is tuned
. With this mod you WILL NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. Unlike all the other performance mods I have on my car. This mod is the only one I really notice something out of the best. If you don't have the money for a tune get this in the mean time You will love it . If you already have a tune add this to it and you better hang on this mod is worth every penny and it takes less than 5 min to install .
