10% off for education or students. not bad, any amount of discounts help, don't you agree?

if you order online, i think the website ask you to enter the school's code or something. How do they check or even if they check for validity is out of my area of expertise.

I've noticed that you can also claim to be a home schooler, but I can't figure out how they actually check. Savings are significant, especially when they were running the buy any mac get a nano free promo.

Don't buy the ram from Apple, just go online and buy it from frys or newegg. Just get a good brand like corsair, etc.

I was waiting for core 2 mbp, but instead spent the money on wheels. Now I think I'm waiting for a core 2 macbook ... just cause I want to be cheap.

All they ask for is the city that the school is in, other then that, you agree to some Terms+ agreements, and you have access to the education store!

@ Hunter

Since I didn't have to buy this one, I might take the cash an get a Mac pro, I kinda miss the desktop alittle, But I might as well just wait until Jan. and see if something even cooler i might want more comes out!

That 24" iMac is a Beast! I love the screen! Still want one of those 30" displays though!!

Great buy. That's one of my next big computer purchases. I've supported Windows systems for years and grew tired of their interface. I've since switched to macs and currently own a 20" cinema display with a 1.8 dual core Mac Mini. The screen is so crisp and Front Row is such a great source of entertainment! I love it and can't wait to add the Macbook pro to my collection.

Nice I like it "Ultimate Posting Machine"

I was waiting for you to chime in about the wheels!!

I keep going back and forth! 162's, 193's or RS4 replicas! I can't choose! I have never seen the 193's in person, but the 2300 should have NO problems getting whatever wheels I want! So hopefully by the time you arange another meet I be on something else besides the 156's!!

P.S. Like the new Signature!

The PC vs MAC OS debate ... why not the best of both worlds? Just wait for Leopard and Bootcamp - viola native XP. Of course... the damn wait

There is nothing wrong with the Beta version out now, it is native, but parallels Works better...(no need to reboot)

That is why I got 3GB, two OS at once,(if I wanted to, (which I don't)

Love my MBP

I bought my MBP JUST BEFORE the most recent upgrade they did.

It is a great laptop, I took just the base MBP 15" and upgraded the RAM to 1GB courtesy of New Egg. The screen is incredible, the battery life is better than my previous laptop (HP) and the lighted keyboard is great. I still have some beast windows machines at home, but I like that with the MBP I am running mysql, apache, php with less of a resource hit than I was on my windows laptop. The built in i-sight is nice for using Skype, and I have Firefox, Thunderbird, Gimp(not my fav but it works) and Open Office so I am set.

Oh, I also bought an 80GB iPod Video at the same time! :rocks:
