All recalls are up to date on the car. Also, the sub-frame was reinforced by the previous owner.
Since I have owned the car all maintenance work has been performed at MPowered Automotive in Cary, NC. When I first received the car, I took it in for a general maintenance overhaul. While there, the following maintenance was done to the car. I have the paperwork as proof. If you have any questions about certain mechanical parts of the car that are not listed below they’re in great shape.
4 New Tires Mounted/Balanced (Hankook Ventus Evo v12)
Mass Air Meter Cleaned
Transmission Fluid Changed
Differential Fluid Changed
Coolant System Flushed and Filled
Brake Fluid Flushed and Filled
New Spark Plugs
Fuel Filter Changed
Charcoal Cabin Filter
Both Engine Belts Replaced
Complete Fuel and Intake System Cleaned and Flushed
Front Left Wheel Straightened
New O2 Sensors
Powerflex FCABs Installed
Powerflex RTABs Installed
Just last week the following maintenance was performed.
New Passenger Mirror Motor
New Wiper Blades
New Windshield Wiper Tank Grommet
I realize the mileage of this car is definitely on the high side. That being said, taking a look at the maintenance that has been performed, it really is in perfect mechanical shape. The car runs like new. No rough idles, shifts smoothly, and turns nice and tight on AM FCABs/RTABs.
The interior of the car is nice and clean. There is very minor wear on the bucket seats up front; nothing that some elbow grease couldn’t solve. The back seats look like they’ve never been touched.
As far as the exterior goes, the car has some normal wear for a 2002 such as rock chips on the front bumper and hood. Also, the previous owner scraped the bottom of the corners on the front bumper on a low driveway. There is also a little bit of curb rash on two of the wheels.
This E46 really shouldn’t need any maintenance work other than the usual oil changes and tires until it’s next Inspection II. Everyone says their car needs no work. Rarely is that the case. This one literally doesn’t, the paper work proves it.
