Portland Auto show

Is anyone planning to attend the Portland auto show? If so report back to what cars BMW has on display. In previous years they didn't bring their M cars and it was just a waste of time. My garage had a better example of BMW than what they brought to the show.

I'm debating whether or not to make the trek to the max stop in the snow to go.

Typically Portland isn't a big enough market for the manufacturers to bring their good stuff. Its usually whatever the local dealerships can muster. I wouldn't expect a new M3 to be there or anything like that.

I worked there yesterday for BMW Portland. Expect to see the i3, an M235i, 435i convertible, M6GC, 535d, 7 Series, a 3'er, EB 328i Sports Wagon, X3, X5 and that might be it for BMW as I can't remember all of them.

You are spot on with that remark. No real displays other than a presentation of cars. It's just a bit of fun to enjoy some peeking around. Also, I can vouch for the "whatever local dealerships can muster" as a car close to the family will be on display.

I'll be max'ing it myself. No C&C likely this week for me :P

Weak. Porsche typically doesn't bring their good stuff either.

I've got 4 free tickets this year and I'm not even sure if its worth dealing with the snow to go.

I'm no where near a competent photographer any more (that's assuming I at least knew a little of what I was doing a couple years back, haha.) The event was okay, fun stuff about, but as previously mentioned, PDX is a small market. The VW display was huuuge!

One of the C&C attendees rolls around with some great image equipment and attended, his shots accurately depict all that was to take in, observe here: Lin Pham's Flickr

I enjoyed seeing the 6er GC, if only for the corona headlamps, I love those.
