DID anyone drop M3 (E9x w 6MT)?

just curious to see if someone drop M3 E9x 6MT at Crevier BMW Santa Ana for service last week or this week (somewhere around 1/27/10 wed).
my car is in the shop (Crevier BMW) for water leak problem (E93) and weird 6MT problem. my SA offered me to test drive another M3 6MT(don't know abuot model but defi. 6MT) this Wed and wanted to prove that mine is normal. he sent me an email to come over to test drive around 1/27/10 Wed noon. he said i can only test drove that day until 4:30PM.
my thoughts: if it's their car, i can go and test drive anytime. right? on the other hand, would they really want me to drive brand new M3 and putting miles on the car? anyway, just curious if someone in the community drop their M3 at the dealer. that's all. and if it's,

Hopefully it is a dealer demo or something, if it were a private owned vehicle then that is definitely and will be avoided forever lol.

maybe its an employee car? Or they dont want to go out after 430 due to traffic? Either way, something is weird with that.

thanks guys. problem solved. very interestingly, today, i got an email from the SA saying that the car offered to me belongs to one of the employee. ( I didn't ask, call, or email him regarding this matter. in fact, i sent "thank you letter" because he tried to help me resolving tranny issue asap. and i really appreciated it. as you know by know, i worried too much. and i should right? it's my baby) so long story short, if i want to test drive the car, i have to call in first. resonable offer and i'll take it. just didn't want to drive someone's car without letting the person know, you know. i heard about many 6MT characters from many folks like you. hopefully, it's just me being soooooooooo senstive.

Glad to hear that it's one of their employees' car. Otherwise it would be so shady.

Anyways, hope they find a fix for your car!

updates:
so hard to schedule a roadtest. i also work so i told him i can only do Mon, Wed, and Friday around noon (so i can go over during my lunch hour. don't want to take half day or couple of hours off from my regular working hour) maybe i should go whenever i can & test drive a new M3 6MT like "Jet335i " and "leeor" mentioned. it's really hard for me to work with this SA. i thought BMW has great service. maybe only to whom those pay their services.

Some SA's are assholes. I've had a really really bad experience with Creviers service department. Never going there ever again. How they treated me and what they said to my face was unbelievable. This is the Service Departments MANAGER who has given the bad impression with the SA just watching as if he's seen this kind of treatment before.
