Late yesterday a few pictures of the new Mini CUV the Countryman were leaked. Today, Mini opened the gates and released a lot more pictures.
I must say, I'm really digging it. I think the regular Countryman model's color scheme and wheels look better than the S's. I'm probably going to get an SUV/CUV for my next car, and this could be a possibility assuming the price isn't astronomic, which I'm afraid it probably will be. I'm also curios to see how much ground clearance it has. Countryman S: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Countryman: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Interior: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

^ Those really don't fall in this cars target markey IMO.
Is it a true all time AWD or 4X4 on/off? I like it but like MINI in general. My guess; modestly equipped 6 speed S model...31K. Gauging from my modest 08' S, 6 speed cost 27K. |

I would like to see a JCW version. Even if they don't bring it I will consider the S. Lower it down since I would never off it. Now my near dream has come true. Non FWD in a MINI.

I wish they'd do something about the interior on these things...... I've walked away from purchasing a mini at least twice because of the interiors. I would have a difficult time taking myself seriously while sitting in that fruitastic interior. I understand that's most likely what they are going for, but I just can't get into it at all. I wish there was a box you could check while building one that says "less whimsical interior". I'd even be willing to pay more!
Overall, its not bad (on the outside of course). I'd like to see one in a solid color with some decent wheels on it before I make my official vote. |

I like the interior, but if it weren't for the typical Mini paint cues this thing could be a cheap crossover from anyone - GM, Kia, etc.
