Yes you are right, Canadian cars are more like Euro spec cars, so you will get the CEL later. It can take up to 2.000km, but no worries - you will get it!
We are just looking for a customer in the US, who will test the new "deleater" with a US spec car. In Europe it works fine - since it is an electronic solution now, it also should with US specs.

I am planning to get Akrapovic slip on along with the VRS Type II diffuse.
I notice that you removed your Type II diffuser, did you? Is it because the tips are so big that they can't fit with the diffuser on?

It will be very tight. I removed them as I wanted a cleaner look. Got the guys who installed the akra to remove for me and the tips fit snugly without the diffuser.
IMO the akra tips looks better without the clutter of diffusers.

Rather spend the money on the full system!!

Canadian cars emissions standards are the same as US cars, and have the same set up. So you will get it eventually.

I have the Akra on my e90 and its perfect. I have ppl commenting on how great it sounds all the time. I only have the slip on at the moment because Im waiting for D/A to produce a tune for our cars.
I got mine from RennSpec, great service and great price.

congrats, def nice setup. i personally prefer one piece tips over the bolt on ones that come with the akra but other then that it is sick. i have used there mufflers on my race bikes in the past and had nothing but good experiences

Today I have been talking with the spanish distributor of Akrapovic. They say that akrapovic is already testing a solution for CEL that is called Delete-R. Have you heard of this? The dealer said that there is already a test car here in Spain..

I havE had no CEL but I have had a flash tune, which from a power gain persepective, I think you should do anyway.

BMW is offering a Performance software map! I think it will be a conservative map but still it shows you that these cars are so detuned from the factory to keep them within safe perameters for longevity.

I love my Evolution System, puts the M3 into a different category, there is soo much more midrange, and the sound has no drone, so is like a factory performance car. I think the M3 GTS video best pinpoints the sound, since it has 200 Cel HFCs and is titanium to.

Do's: wipe the system down with a soft cloth before starting the car to remove grease and fingerprints from install.

i'd love to get it from Nate, but im in the UAE, shipping and customs would kill me, instead my dealer can have it within a week and installed, it's a hassle free if you know what i mean, but thanks for the recommendation, i would definitely consider Nate for future purchases. After all i still wanna get some minor CF accessories for my M, like the exhaust tips, CF mirrors, front hood vents and so on.

btw, i any recommendation on a high quality colf air intake? i dont care for Gruppe M, i want something that sound grunty like the E46 M3 CLs

but with a V8 touch....i hate muscle cr sounding exhausts like the AMG Mercedes, they sound awful.

I just did a BMC filter. Sound from Akra is just right, you dont need air intakes to make it loud all over again!

Sorry, but I have to support the established vendors like IND or Rennspec here. For curiosity I shipped a Porsche system, which was PayPaled on Sunday, to Dubai this week - the happy customer was able to pick it up yesterday (Wednesday) nite - that´s 3 days after payment! Who does not belive can have the tracking # from me!!! Me and others forwarded you to people who know about the Akra system or offered info personally - that´s not just for selling a system, that´s because me and others are also M drivers and know about these babies. I was the very first who had an Evolution system installed on his M3 (except the Akra test car), but you ignored. Now you buy your system obviously from a BMW dealer, who has no idea about it and finally your system will come you more expensive than offered in this thread by other people, since he will not get the propper discounts, cause he is only ordering a single system and he also has to pay taxes, VAT and shipping.
Finally or latest when your car throws CEL you will cry here in the Forum and ask for help!
That´s just my 2 cents...
