TPMS and valve stem

I just received a set of TE37s. Will the supplied valve stem be compatible with the TPMS or do I need to use BMW valve stems?

I'm about to find out by having my RACs mounted with a set of TPMS sensors also without valve stems. I was told by my tire shop there should be no problem, and I'll have a definitive answer this weekend.

I doubt the TPMS will work with any valve stems other than the OEM style intended for the unit. I have Volk TE37s, and I have the stems that came with the Volks in a bag because I used the OEM style valve stems.

I doubt it. Do they have a ball shape on the end?

OK, I'm not sure what the OP is talking about, but what I'm talking about the "dill valve" (little pin head thingie) which is inside the valve stem neck mounted to the TPMS. That is the actual valve, which allows air to be inserted and released.

I just looked at the valve stems that came with my RACs, and the necks exactly match the ones on the TPMS sensors. You just unscrew the dill valve, and screw it inside the TPMS neck.

The TPMS sensors I purchased from a fellow forum member did not come with the dill valve inside the neck.

That's actually an excellent price. List is around $190.

I have the aftermarket BERU TPMS sensors and i used my BBS valve stem and it works fine.

I think some valve stems have issues and some do not. I think u gotta try it to know because Status did someone else's car and their aftermarket valve stem would not work with the TPMS.

I had my RACs mounted yesterday. They used the dill valves inside the stems provided by RAC and simply screwed them into the TPMS assembly. TPMS reset and works perfectly.
