Potential tires on OEM 19"??

I am moving to a separate thread as opposed to the winter tire thread.

I am looking for winter tires for my 2010 M3 with OEM 19" wheels. I want the staggered look. Winters are not horrible in Stl, but we can get a few minor snows and maybe 1 larger snowfall. Here are the options available on tirerack based on availability. Thoughts?

LM25 - $634
245/45-19 (F) and 265/35-19 (R)
Will the different aspect ratios look funny?

LM60 - $1004
235/35-19 (F) and 265/35-19 (R)
Any problem with the width differences compared to the recommended config 235 & 255?

Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero - $1270
245/40-19 (F) and 255/40-19 (R)
Width difference is narrower...any concerns?

Ideally the LM25 would work since they are much cheaper, but I want to make sure they will look and perform ok.

Wanted to get some thoughts prior to ordering.

Thanks!

I had the Blizzaks LM25 and they definitely felt squishy in the turns and were a little shaky at high speeds. I have the Michelin Apine PA3's and it's like 4X4 in my ///M when it snows here.

Personally, I had Blizzak and I like them as well. Cant go wrong with them. I wish I could offer more in that department, but I dont have a lot of knowledge with winter tires after moving.

i just got the LM60's for my 19's in 235/255 will have them mounted on tue so i can report back after i get some miles on them

i had the LM25's on my E39 M5 before in 235/265 and i loved them. i could run up to 5 inches of snow and after that the low front end made it hard to plow through. i thought they worked great all around. of course not as good as summer tires but for what they are i thought they worked great at high speeds and not that much road noise. they worked alot better then i thought to be honest

i am hoping these LM60's work as good if not better since they replaced the LM25

as far as your concern of the 45 and 35 part of the tire i would ask tire rack about that. prob would only be able to tell if you looked close at the wheel. as far as performance i am not sure again i would ask TR about that

using sottozeros... not as good as LM25s in the snow but it has much better performance. very sharp response for a winter tire. its pretty good for deep snow but not as good for ice as LM25s.
