2010 M3 vs 335xi with Dinan Stage 3

I am considering one of these. Price will be approx the same after the mods on the 335. M will have slightly more HP but far less torque. Thoughts? Why does M have such low torque?

335 has over 400 with mods. comes with 300 stock. just seems like M has low torque when HP is so high.

You're right, you should get the 335i. Good Luck!

So your saying you would buy a 335i that's just as expensive and fast as an E92 M3.

LOL.

Think of other things beyond performance.. seats, motor sound, gearbox, ride, handling etc. The M3 easily takes the cake.

More power to the 335i. I had one, it was great, but lovin the M3. If people need to question why the M3>335i, then they don't need the M3....get the 335i and mod away.

Of course don't forget to take everything off when you have to go to the dealer for service, or when you have to bring back your leased car.

If you can't easily make up your mind, then go for the 335i.

Or, drive both and it will more easily become aparent to you.

FWIW, I'm not a fan of turbo-surge acceleration, but prefer linear power delivery.

But it looks that you already have a 335xi...what do you mean price is the same?

But if price is the same, then it's a no brainer go for M3.

The M is not just superior than the 335 in the engine department; it also has a world-class chassis, better transmission, upgraded interior materials and the ///M prestige. You can spend $100k on a 335 and it will still be a 335.

Get the M3. You will not regret it.

I would buy the m3 because it is made to handle the power. I don't believe in Dinan warranty. They'll blame it back and forth on each other and Dinan will lose to BMW. At the end you will be stuck on the sideline and most likely dinan will not cover you.

have you ever owned anything Dinan?? my guess prob not, my guess is you read something stupid on one of these forums and continue to just pass it along just like others due

i have owned 3 Dinan cars and they have always bent over backwards to take care of me and i have never once had a problem at BMW or at Dinan ever

but yeah all those other people who were stuck on the sidelines right, go troll somewhere else

Ladies and gentlemen, MR. OBVIOUS!

335i with $50k in mods will walk a Ferrari 599, let alone a lowly, stupid M3.

Hope that Dinan will back up your warranty if there's any problem with your tuned 335i in the future cause I've seen quite a few people saying that their chipped 335i starting to cause some problems and BMW is voiding their warranty. It damages the engine and such and it's costing from $15k to $30k to fix.

Rather than relive 15 page threads on torque, why not try the option and find the technical discussions on torque under the curve and torque at the wheels, and you will see the //M3 has more usable torque.

Cheers,
