Question Thoughts On Using UHP A/S Tires?

what are your thoughts on using ultra high performance all season tires such as the bridgestone pole position or michelin sport a/s?

I would use it if I live in the lower tri-state area with little snow.. might save you some money to get a nice set of 18" wheel and tires for track use in the summer.

I don't think the effects will be day and night when cruising on the highway.. i'm assuming you would only feel the difference under hard braking and acceleration when you go one of your those hard weekends drives at night.

For winter use, as long as traction control is on.. I don't see how the all seasons won't keep you safely on the road as long as snow is minimal (1' - 3') especially if you live in a city where they clear the roads 99% of the time.

"Jack of all trades, master of none."

It will decrease the performance of the car in trade for ability to drive it in light snow... A/S tend to have better treadwear, too. Dry performance will decrease and steering/grip won't be as good.

Snow tires for winter, summer tires for other months... just IMO.
