Looking to buy first BMW... need advice

I am looking at buying my 1st BMW.... WHAT i hear you cry.... complete novice... here.... but been driving a focus for what seems like ages.... and got the bug after driving my mates...

Any how I am looking at the following models... 3 Series 318, 323, 325 i SE, is there anything I should be looking out for in terms of problems... how good are these models?... my budget is between 3-4k... the cars I am looking at have approx 50k on clock....

My other Question is will the MV3 or 4 Wheels go on these models????

Apologies for what must seem to be basic questions... but I want to buy the car with sound knowledge behind me... many thanks in advance for any posts back... Graham

Hi Graham

You have posted this in the UK M3 section, you would get a better response in the E90post section

The E9post forum is mainly 'designed' for owners of E90 (saloon), E91 (tourer), E92 (coupe) & E93 ('vert) models of the laterst shape BMW 3 series (55 plate onwards) - Your budget sounds too low and I guess you are looking at older E46 shape BMW's - maybe E46fanatics.com may be more suitable if so?
