Man, I had mine done in Spain, and mine cost me around $800-900, I was hoping BMW NA or something like that would refund some of it at least. My Military Sales guy is saying no though

Mine was just under $700. I won't be having the dealer do the regular oil changes and if there isn't some special procedure or really esoteric tool needed for the tranny or dif I'm going to start doing all the changes myself.

In Provence - Aix - my bill was around EUR500 - which was reimbursed to me by BMW USA once I furnished proof - and my car was landed here.

Turning wrenches for the USA since 2001!

I just did my oil change today at 15,371 miles. Only cost me $143.60
Instead of buying my oil from an online source I only bought 8 Castrol TWS ($13.95) since I already have 2 laying around, oil filter from BMW dealership out in Grafenwoehr since I was out there ($26) and the bay lift for an hour ($6). It was very easy, oil reminder reset was done on the dash. Next I'm going to change my tranny and dif in a few weeks!

I realize this thread is a bit dated, but I just wanted to give an idea of what it's costing me in the UK. I just took my M3 into Stratstone BMW this morning for the 1,200 mile run-in service. I ordered my oil from ECS Tuning, but after almost 2 weeks, I still have not received it (APO is being slower than normal). So I broke down and just paid for everything.
I was a bit shocked when the total came to 488 GBP without the 20% VAT (approx. $787 at today's exchange rate). Luckily, when I stopped in last week they gave me a copy of a quote from another guys M3 who paid 445 GBP including VAT (371 GBP w/o VAT), so they honored the 371 GBP price for me. Once my package from ECS arrives, I'll have enough oil & filters for the next two oil changes. Needless to say, I'll be doing an oil change at 7700 mile and 15,200 miles myself. The car drives likes a dream after the run-in service! |
