Yes, you are right. I misspoke. They were in fact RE-50A Pole Positions.

Do all RE-11's come with the red lettering on the sidewall, or is that something you added?

Mine didn't. First test in rain today, unfortunately. No issues however. Was making my way through traffic just fine.

I love mine.

A few notes though: We all know (or at least we all should know) that new tires do not perform as good as they can until they have worn down some of the tread depth. What I have noticed compared to the RE01-R's that I had on my 335i, is that the new RE-11's take longer (ie more miles) to get that solid performance feel that the RE01-R's achieved at a earlier milage.

I am not sure if that is becuase the new tread depth between the 2 tires are different, or maybe it is a different/harder compound but for whatever reason the RE01-Rs settled into their "optimium performance" feel with less milage than the RE-11's

Having said that though, once they are "in their groove" so to speak they are better then the RE01-Rs as they don't get as greasy when hot and the side wall is a little stiffer.

just replaced PS2s with RE11s and couldn't be more pleased. Dry performance and feel are 15% better, with very little given up in wet performance or comfort.

Both great tires, Re11 just a bit more performance oriented and better on the track.

Has anyone gone through a set of these yet? I'm curious as to how much, if any, worse the treadwear is compared to the PS2.

Why would you say wet performance is less? The RE-11 uses Seamless Stealth tech handed down from their F1 implementations. It is rated better in the wet than the PS2s.
Not sure where you are getting that from...

tread direction

silly question for those of you who have these on... is the tread going opposite directions driver/passenger side? Got these mounted on my rims last weekend and when I look at them on the car it looks like the tread "curves" are going different directions. Looks like one side is rotating backwards? I know they're on the rim right (inside/outside is right)...
