Ambulance hit my daily driver while it was parked in Palo Alto

At least a witness left a note with his license plate and the driver came back to leave another note (presumably after dropping his patient off). I hope whoever was in the ambulance really benefitted from the time saved by driving through my car rather than around it.

Off to the body shop! RJ's or B&S Hacienda?

It's rental mode!

+1 for Vince. If that Civic had one of your clear bras on it, I'm sure it would have buffed right out.

Sorry that blows! Is the wheel damaged too or just turned in?

I believe the wheel was just turned in. The alignment seemed fine and it did not have any pull in one direction or another, but I'm going to have them redo it anyway. I haven't had it aligned in 20,000 miles, and given the massive construction near my house, it probably needed another alignment anyway.

I just hope they give me a rental with cruise control because I'm driving to LA this weekend. If they don't, I'm going to have to bring a golf club or a brick to hold the gas down. I made a temporary cruise control system on a Chevy Aveo by wedging a Gatorade bottle against the pedal and preventing it from retracting by placing a heavy textbook behind it.
