It should be a bit quieter after you button it up fully. When my valves are opened up a smidge, like your access doors are, its definitely noticeable, so you dont need much of a leak for noticeably increased noise. The question is.. will it drone! If I were you, I'd seal that area up better and drive around before you weld it back. You may want to cover the tubes with something more rigid and sound reflecting than the header wrap.

Its too far to go to LI for a quick meet for me.

I couldn't use the exhaust header wrap because it was too thick. It is very tight between the two pipes on the left side of the photos. I used exhaust/muffler repair wrap. I still had some exhaust coming out of the chamber on the right (as installed on the car). I will be securing the wrap with stainless steel tie wraps. When the wraps gets hot, it cures and seals better. I think I will re-stuff the chambers with the absorption material too.

They seem quiet on the video but they are VERY loud.

If the weather clears up, I can get better video.

OK, Change of plans. After yesterday's test run, I decided to unwrap the two smaller exposed sections. I think the system needs some absorption. I clamped down the wrap on the pipes that have the larger amount of perforations. I'll re-stuff the chambers with absorption material and see how it goes.

I just finished the videos. I think I got what I was looking for.

By keeping the smaller set of perforations and re-stuffing the chambers, the exhaust is still MUCH louder but not insane like it was before.

Videos are processing as I type this.

Here you go... I recorded at different angles. I noticed that the recording sound changes a lot when the camera is in different locations.

Sounds a bit too much like a pushrod V8 at certain angles and rpm, rather than the technological marvel that it is, but surprisingly, better than most aftermarket exhausts I've heard. Not bad for a relatively simple procedure

Hey, better loose the duct tape if you plan to take it for a ride man; you'll never be able to remove it afterwards. Good job. Curious about the volume/drone inside the car. Keep us posted.

It is hard to truly represent the sound via video. I guess it has to be heard in person. Of course I need to get videos of it driving. I am going to weld it shut first so I can get rid of the tape.
