Dudes. Has anyone tried bmminiparts.com? They're a private vendor in the UK and they ship to the US. Because they're private, they're not subject to the restrictions that BMW places on its dealers.

I bought European-specific parts for my M3 from them as late as last week. Give them a try before freaking out too much.

Not usually due to taxes.... I will be in France at the end of the summer and am planning on ordering them from a dealer in france as my last resort.

Make sure you go to customs when you leave with your receipt and get the VAT tax refunded to you.

***UPDATE***

Ok...good news!!! While these are temporarily blocked from ordering now...they ARE going to be available again per just getting off the phone with BMW!!! No ETA as of right now...but we'll keep you all posted!!!

Of course, they may have frozen supplies because of production numbers (ie: they cannot supply the quantities to the US).
Yes, this is exactly the case!!! No worries....they will come!!!

We are keeping all outstanding orders open in our system, no charges will be made until we get them in and are shipping out. Also, if you get tired of waiting, just shoot us an email, pm, etc. w/ your order # and we'll be happy to cancel for ya w/ no penalty.

Thanks for your patience fellas!

Evan,

I noticed you have taken off the M3 edition grills and side vents in your online store...when will they be available again?

I've already ordered the front grills...but I want to add the side vents as well.

thanks

Yup, we took these down for the time being as we can't submit any new orders to BMW at this time for these parts - they just get cancelled.

As soon as we get word they are available to order again, we'll post them back up!

Thanks for your patience fella's - this is completely beyond our control.

What's the best way to see if these are available? Search by part number? Or would you be able to email me when you're able to submit new orders again

I wish we just had an ETA. If I knew for sure they were coming, I wouldnt mind waiting but not knowing if we'll ever even get them is painful. Purchasing them in Europe and having them shipped is an option but its significantly more expensive.

Evan,

There are 2 differerent grills at your site:
1- 51712155450 and 51712155451 as "front grill, black" and priced 50$ each
2- 51137979350 and 51137979351 as "ZIERGITTER SCHWARZCH" and priced 61$ each.

What is the difference?

I believe #1 is gloss black, while #2 is satin chrome (M3 Edition).

Sorry for the late reply...I can't always monitor these threads. Please email us directly at gethelp@getbmwparts.com for quicker service.

Anyway, yes, BMW stated the black chrome m3 edition grills will be available again - but no ETA as of right now. We are keeping all orders for these open...and we will not charge your card until they are actually in and shipping out to you. If you need to cancel...just email us w/ your order # and we'll be happy to assist with that as well. We took down this special for the time being since we can't order anymore at this time...but will re-post it just as soon as we get word they can be ordered!

The difference between the grills is that #1 are the Glossy Black BMW Performance grills on special in our BMW Performance Catalog on the site (and currently in stock).....and # 2 are the M3 Edition Black/Satin Chrome grills that aren't available to order right now.....cosmetically...they look similar...but up close they are different.

Thanks fellas!

Oh, and don't forget about this little contest we are currently running!
