Got my first BMW in early 1971, a lightly used 1970 2002. I had two other 2002s (1972 & 1975), a '72 Bavaria, a '74 3.0CS (wish I would have kept it), a 1976 530i, 1978 733i (didn't like, too big), 1982 528e (no power), 1983
533i, used 1981 528i, and a 1976 535i. Then a big time gap to my '08 535xi and now the M3.

Yeah that 3.0CS would have been a keeper - I still love the look of those cars. A buddy of mine's dad used to have a Bavaria but it was pretty abused.

The 3.0CS was a very attractive car, mine was Fjord Blue, with blue leather. It was a manny tranny, as all my previous ones were. The only problem with the car was it was the last of non-injected cars, and getting the proper tune on the dual Webers was a real talent. One of the mechanics at the local Calgary dealership at the time was the only guy who could seem to make it work properly.

Mine was one of only three 1974 3.0CSs sold in Calgary that year. That was the last year for the CS. Later, the 633i came out with a new body style, and the injected engine.

+1 had the top down all day, I didnt even have the heated seats or heater on.

I bought three BMWs from BK. It's BMW Waterloo (Quinn) now. No, I bought the car at Performance BMW in St. Catharines, but I'll use BMW Waterloo for service until next summer.
