Weighed my E92 M3 today
3594 lbs, which was nice.
Car is DCT, ZCP, carbon roof and all options and had a full tank of fuel but no occupants. A few things in the trunk/glove box which probably added up to 5 lbs. Gintani x-pipe (w/hfc) and sport rear section, Apex Arc-8 18x10 275 PSS tires on all four corners.

I was actually expecting it to be a little heavier considering all the options. Isn't this about what the F82 weighs?

3,600 lbs. +/- is about right depending on options.
Various car mags show M4 at between 3,540 to 3,590. Not all that much weight saving but, it does have gobs of torque! |

The weight isn't too bad for a 4-passenger luxury coupe with a V8. Look at the smaller two-passenger sports cars-- a Ferrari F430 weighs 3200 lbs, a Corvette Grand Sport is 3311 lbs.; you would expect a vehicle with the interior space and trunk space of an E92 to weigh at least a couple hundred pounds more.
They could have cut weight with light composite materials in places like the trunk lid and doors, but the car would cost more. I think the modern American V8 muscle cars are the pigs and the M3 is just mildly overweight... |

Not bad at all, specially considering that the DCT M4 with CCB from the other thread weighted in at only ~15lbs less! Take that $8k option off of this car and yours is lighter!!
![]() p.s. Can't believe we ear that 180lbs difference quote in every review they make of the M3/M4!! ![]() |

Yeah, that's funny. Most things that are re-engineered for weight reduction end up looking and feeling cheap. I'm looking to buy a used Playstation 3 and I don't want one of the newer super slim versions. Not only do they appear cheap, but I hear they break more often.
