Because the plastic grommets are tough to remove.

SWEET car Kev.
Did you win the Lotto or something? I could not have afforded all this while I was in residency, maybe in Fellowship, but my wife would have killed me!!! Nicely done.

No, I did not. However, having a full merit based scholarship and having worked a couple years prior to medical school did help quite a bit.

I think I'll finally be able to go pay for the rest of the parts this weekend. So, stay tuned.

Just food for thought, I always wondered how these all will look together on an Interlagos Blue M3. Too bad, every one got Alpine White so it's tough to visualize the parts in IB.

RD Sport "Stradale" front bumper

RD Sport rear bumper with carbon extractor

CFK Ericsson-style FRP trunk

I guess we'll find out soon.

Not really, those are mods that have been planned for a while. I just didn't have the time to get everything done and wrapped up.

I think it'd be interesting to tie everything together with something like this:

It looks pretty well made. However, since it's an FRP part, I'm still expecting to spend a bit of time getting it fitted right by the body shop. In truth, I wanted the carbon fiber version, but I just can't wait any longer (been waiting for more than 6 months for the full CF version).

Looks good. Do you have any more pics of the RD rear?? It looks like a regular e92 335 sport or mtech rear (don't remember which is which). Is it carbon fiber?

i think it would look sick!
I love the RD sport bumper over the race version.
i kinda like the stock rear bumper with a CF challange diffusor better than the RD rear. i think it would look a lot nicer with the ericcson trunk.

still can't wait

A bigger picture of the rear bumper with more details. The diffuser section is in carbon fiber. It bears some resemblance to the Amuse Ericsson rear section, but looks more rounded and subdued.

Here's a little more close-up shot:

I love the Challenge diffuser but I would need much bigger exhaust tips to look good with that diffuser. I can't quite afford the Ericsson full exhaust yet.

Looks good Kev- can't wait to see the body kits installed. It was a beautiful weekend in Portland as well. It's nice living in God's country isn't it?

Trying to understand what you are wanting to do with the roof... are you going for a real carbon fiber roof with sunroof? It's not clear from your post if you want it with a sunroof or not...
