We prefer to use the OEM-installed sharkfin instead. Makes for a clean OEM like appearance and plugs in directly to the XM module.

Does the sharkfin have an extra module for xm antenna or do they use the same one? Sorry for asking a silly question.

Both Sirius and XM connectors are the same, you would use this connector for XM.

You will be prewired, it's essentially Plug and Play (stock sharkfin antenna can be used).

The system emulates a working Sirius receiver in the background, with XM features to the end user.

You will need a subscription from XM once the receiver is activated from BMW or your local independent with an autologic programmer.
