No, those are actually constant current drivers and it is plug and play. No splicing necessary.

aajami - There is No cutting or anything. simply unplug the original bulb and plug in the LUX H8, thats all.

Thanks. What's the difference between the LUX 5.0 and LUX H8 products? All I can tell from searching is a slight price and color difference between the two.

Got it. The NAMS site lists the H8 as backordered. I don't suppose there's another vendor that has them in stock, is there?

Nope, NAMotorsports is the only vendor that carries these. They will have more in stock soon. I have parts on order to make more.

Read the whole thread!!!

To OP, I've been on the fence with these and other angel eye solutions for a long time. How do they look during the day? Could you rate them on a scale of 1-10 compared to stock? 1 being lightest and 10 being like stock!

Thanks.
Nick

I had these for 3 weeks now.. been very happy with them.. They ar estill very bright

In terms of brightness you can definately see them reflected on the car in front of you during the day--even light colored cars.. Something the RD H8 LEDs nor anything else I tried could do.. At night, they could almost pass for headlights..

Lux H8 > RD H8> GP Thunders == Stock

That's my experience with Halo bulb replacements.. I haven't seen the OSS or HID bulbs in person.. I read they are brighter but at the cost of the easy plug and play.. I can't say anything operationally about the AiB's either as I have no experiece with them.. Some people did have quality issues with the 1st batch of AiBs but the customer service response and how they handled these customer with problems didn't seem stellar to me...

I had the HID kit for about 8-9 months and I generally have been very happy with the kit. The angel eyes can pass for headlights at night because it does project light forward and sometimes can be blinding to oncoming motorists. That is the reason why I decided to try the LUX H8 PnP. The LUX is almost as bright as the HID but does not project light forward at night so it's not as blinding. The rings are pretty equal in terms of brightness.

I'll be getting my OSS retrofitted headlights back in a week's time so I'll have a full spectrum comparison then. Right now, I would recommend LUX without any reserves for the ease of installation, and the great light out. It's much better priced than AiB as well.

Keep us updated on the OSS lights, Kev! Did you send your lights out to FL or did you buy another set?

i probably shouldn't comment on this because i dont own the lights although its on my list of mods, but... i heard they do not dim at all because the are LED's and LED's dont dim. Hope this helps.

Got mine today after being backordered for a while. Install was easy although the space is tight. Matches the headlights perfectly and no errors. So far very happy.
