Got my DCT software updated

SInce I have been faced with the dreaded lag issue, I finally got around to bringing it to the dealer.

They needed the car overnight and provided me a 328xi loaner. Wow that car has heavy steering.

Anyhow, the car is dramatically improved. I wouldn't say the lag is down to zero but it is almost zero. Of course, it was so bad before that almost anything would be better.

Definitely worth the upgrade and I haven't seen any downsides as of yet.

ill get done at the 15000 mile oil change. let me know of any problems. thanks and i think that 328 is a pretty dam quick car

Haha, he was joking with the original poster. You don't lose HP. Those of us with the 6MT just like making fun of the DCT guys and their lag. As great as this new software is it still doesn't replace a human being as to knowing when to have the car in gear and be ready to move.

i see ur in LI . did u take it to rallye for the update? and what did u tell them cause they told me there is no update available.

Rallye is a horror. I use and bought from Competition BMW in Smithtown.
