EDC - Doesn't seem to make much difference

I have played around with the EDC settings on mine. It really doesn't seem to make much difference - is it meant to be dramatic? Perhaps mine doesn't work? The lights come on and not much happens. Just thought I'd check with you guys before looking a clown at the dealers.
Thanks.

I have a friend with an E92 who doesn't notice a difference, but I can tell a huge difference. Remember it only effects the shocks, it can't change the spring rates.

It depends on the road of course but you should be able to tell a difference. Especially between Sport and the other modes.

I think it depends on how finely tuned your butt sensor is.

For the first month or more that I had the car, I really couldn't tell much, if any, difference between the settings. Now, it feels like night and day. Shocks might just need a chance to brake in.

try to go over speed bump in comfort and sport. You'll feel differences.
I didn't notice any differences in 1st month just like TLud said but now I can feel difference setting right away.

Same boat buddy, but I didn't play too much with them myself (and it was when new). I might play with the settings again once I hit 2K miles. For now, decided to leave the setting in 'normal', because it supposedly adapts to sport when needed, but I don't know for sure. The manual is very vague on its description. I certainly didn't feel any difference from comfort to normal when I switched at around 1,500 miles (1,800 now). Good day.

i can barely feel it myself, but I know its there. So I still have M button programmed to sport mode for EDC.

Put it this way, if the light didnt work on the button, and I started pushing the button, I would have no idea which mode Im in.

Well I hope people don't forget to put in SPort when entering or exiting driveways or steep dips.
Even the manual mentions to do so, so the shocks won't compress and make your front touch down

I wouldn't say thats going to save your front bumper from hitting the driveway, if youre going slow enough it shouldn't touch, and if it still touches (even when going super slow), than Im pretty sure its gonna hit no matter what mode your in. Its not a Gallardo where the cars front suspension raises 2 inches or so to clear speed bumps and driveways.

After I put on my H&R's, the difference was very noticeable.

I feel the difference every time I turn it on. My car is about four months old with about 8,000 miles I think. It's set up in metric right now. I turn mine on every time I drive on the autobahn or back road twisty roads......

You can't tell much of a difference on a regular road. But I assure you that once you get into the twisties, the car feels more planted and a bit stiffer.

Go over a few bumps in comfort mode and then with Sport mode...

I think the EDC set up is bull$hit. All I can say it I got ripped off by BMW. I am using EDC mimic + coilovers now. And that is how the M3 should really feel

How much of a difference in improved handling do your coilovers have over the stock EDC in normal/sport?

i feel the difference. the road just outside my garage entrance/exit is very rough and broken up... u feel the difference if its in full sport or full comfort mode... i am always on full comfort around town.. full sport does feel quite a lot stiffer.

+1, if you tackle a corner on comfort then do the same corner on sport, the feel difference will be pretty dramatic imo.

Yes, I felt a huge difference! especially when your in the corners. The stock set up will just dip for no reason and its really unexpected. I felt that was pretty scary.
