no 23hp and 21tq is just from the midpipe and updated software. you get additional hp and tq when you have the muffler as well. i did the stage 1 software and muffler first and noticed the gains. nothing crazy but they were there. then i did the midpipe with updated software and really noticed the gains. i didn't dyno but i can def feel the difference. down low now taking off it just wants to rip loose where bf it was soft. the pull is much harder now and has alot more snot to it

people love to talk trash. there midpipe and muffler set up is right up there with any other companies as far as gains go and no drone and no CEL issues.

i didn't dyno mine bc after reading PG dyno thread it seems like it is almost impossible to get a correct dyno anyway so why waste the money. i know the gains are there as i drive the car. i couldn't be happier

anyone that has posted dynos of other stuff all people do is talk trash about those too saying oh thats not correct you guys cheated blah blah, nobody is ever happy on here.

so far the only company i have seen that makes a good quality product with no problems other then dinan is Gintani. i am gonna be calling them about a SC kit soon, as a stroker is a bit out of my price range i think

if the dynos are really as bad as everyone says what is the point really?? just so you can say to someone i have such and such on a dyno?? when people hear my car they go damn holy shit how much is that thing dyno? i say i have no idea nor do i care but it runs like a raped aped. that is what matters to me. just my op but i really see the dyno's as just a bragging thing seeing how there all so different in numbers from one to the other

BTW, those results are NOT cumulative. I'll bet you're talking under 15hp at the rear wheels with the complete package. Of course, there was probably failure to establish baseline runs, so we'll never know.

How do you know the results arent cumulative? goes against everything I have heard, maybe you know something that we dont.
The numbers being quoted are indeed crank hp numbers taken off the Dinan website, not sure why the hostility in your posting.....

Chill pill Dave....you should use them

OP: how are you passing emmissions with no cats, are you planning on reinstalling the stock system back on for emmission testing?

Im thinking of getting a similar exhaust system and Im looking for a solution to this problem

What's hostile? I'm just calling you out for posting bogus hearsay.

Show me some cumulative dyno results for several bolt-ons that equal the total of the advertised pieces. Go look at PencilGeek's dyno thread and you will not find a single case of the total increase of several mods equalling the sum of the individual results.

As conservative as Dinan is, you're unlikely to achieve their posted results. Once again, look at the PG dyno thread.

Dynos, you should use them. Reading off the cereal box is of little use here.

I only have dyno runs after the midpipe was installed. I had the dinan axle-back exhaust installed before I took delivery so I do not have the baseline numbers. I know Roman dyno'd my car before the SC and made over 350whp. Hope this helps

i assume the bump from just the rearsection was negligbile at best right/
ur writeup is makiing me think about getting the midpipe, but how much louder does it get? or does the tone only become deeper?

this would be in a while if at all but curious, and the tune is required right with the midpipe? cause it will cause a cel...

last quesiton, is the dinan midpipe tune, the same as their ecu flash?
thks

The overall exhaust did become much louder, especially at high RPM's. However, I don't think it is overly loud. I use my car only on the weekends due to my work schedule out of town, but would totally use it as my DD and not even think twice about it.

The DINAN midpipe tune is different from the standard performance software. It optimizes the tune for the midpipe and does eliminate the CEL as there are no cats.

I would recommend a tune from ESS instead of DINAN if you get the midpipe. They can totally customize it and optimize it to get the maximum power possible. I am not sure what ESS would charge, but do inquire and see what they can do.

This is an average of the gains we saw when testing Larry's car with his exhaust VS stock.

i have the Dinan midpipe and would reccomend it to anyone. the sound is amazing and exotic like and still no drone anywhere at all at any rpm range. i use the car daily so drone would be something i could not have and i don't know any other out there that has no drone at all. all i see is threads of how i can get rid of the drone.

all i know is my car rips now and sounds amazing and has no drone. people can talk all the trash they want about dinan but they made a awesome product that works and produces great power increase. the muffler only wasn't much of a gain just like any of the others out there but when i put the midpipe on, holy shit the car ripped. the rear tires want to rip loose all the time now

anyone that is looking for a exotic sounding system with good power and no drone then look no further then the Dinan system. i have over 2,000 miles on mine now and it is a pleasure every time i get in the car

to each there own but i am 100% happy and i don't need a dyno to tell me that

That's the first stock car I've seen develop 400+rwhp. What gives?

Crank HP, not wheel horsepower.

That appears to be a MAHA dyno sheet.

So you took the engine out of the car for the dyno test??? Most of us don't go far. I'm still wondering what gives?

If you "adjusted" chassis-dyno readings, then all bets are off.
