Can barely stand the anticipation

Ordered Eisenmann Race from EAS a couple weeks ago. DYING in anticipation of its arrival, as there were no sets left in North America and it has to come from Deutschland.

Car will go on jack stands within 5 mins of those boxes arriving.

Share my pain. Or at least tell me you feel sorry for me.

Research other mods in the meantime.....That way time will pass hopefully.

Just be careful not to pull the trigger on everything all at once, since that's what I did.

Haha, actually I was doing that as you were typing that message. Don't know where to start now though. I'd like to try a pulley but am afraid of underdriving the accessories. Want to try the scoops but haven't seen any hard evidence of performance gain due to them.

Got any other bright ideaas?

Don't worry, even after your Eisenmann arrives, you still won't be finished with the research. hahahehe

X-pipe? Tune? Filter? SSK? How 'bout some cosmetic mods?

Short shift kit. Reduces the super long throws on M3s. Definitely a must have mod IMO. You will not get a CEL from just the exhaust. If you get a catless x-pipe or any other brand of an xpipe besides fabspeed (with high flow cats) you will get a CEL and will need a tune to get rid it.

Good luck. Welcome to the modding club..

Oh, cool!

SSK = Short Shift Kit

It improves the overall shifting feel. I've read it's the best mod you can do for the 6 speed e9x M3.

Here's a very good thread of where I learned quite a bit about the ssk. Pay close attention to TLud's posts, since he basically gives an unbiased, step by step review of his personal experience with UUC's ssk from the time of install: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...&highlight=ssk

Well, I got the connecting pipes with the Eisenmann exhaust; does that replace the cats and cause CELs? I haven't really researched TBH.

No, that doesn't replace the cats or cause a CEL. The Eisenmann is just a muffler, and the connecting pipes are there to make the Eisenmann a complete bolt-on application. So basically you ordered an upgraded rear exhaust portion for your M3, which is completely bolt-on. That's what DevJ also did, when he ordered his Eisenmann Race with connecting pipes.

If in the future you decide to add a catless X-pipe, then that would remove the cats and make the CEL come on. If you get an x-pipe with hfc's, that shouldn't make the CEL come on, since (upgraded) cats will still be there.

Hopefully, this answers your question.

Hey no worries man, just remember, this exhaust was specifically made for YOU, so you'll have an exhaust that is unique to you only . That is worth it's weight in waiting as well. I'll send you a PM in a bit, I should be getting an update on when it's going to be arriving from Germany today.

No CEL lights, you'll be 100% ok on that front.

There's obviously a few awesome things that you can do to your M3, obviously you picked the best choice for the exhaust, hands down, so maybe look into a performance filter, maybe a Short shift kit as suggested previously, maybe Rogue Power Pulley's and a GIAC flash as well to really tune up the power. Those can add up to really nice gains.
