FYI:
Here is how roof installation process works (with a lot of pictures).

This is from M3forum: E46 M3 with Sunroof installing sunroof-less OEM CSL roof.

http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...r+roof+install

Just to share with you guys how much work involved in roof installation.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMNNNNNNNNN.

I like the CF roof, but I could not bring myself to molest my car like that.....all that cutting, etc. I would be like a nervous expectant father-to-be in the hospital waiting room...lol

Nice product though!!!

I know.
I love how C/F roof looks on the sedan and especially I have AW sedan w/o sunroof. But I'm just too afraid to go in to the major surgery with my M.

Does the carbon roof have any supports?

Looking at that install of the CSL roof on an E46 M, it looks like that even for the E46 coupe (which has a much smaller roof area than an e90 sedan) BMW spec-ed a steel support.

Did you guys add anything similar to your carbon roof. Do you know if the E92 OEM carbon roof has a support? Given that your piece is bigger than the coupe item, can you explain how you guarantee roof integrity?

Piece looks amazing. Very interested in getting it for my sedan when it shows up in a couple months...

Thanks,
FZ

Let me found out who AA has install the carbon roofs in the E46 M3 Race cars that they build. They might even do it in house.

other than looks, not much, i think it weighs a bit less than the normal roof but for a daily driven car that wont make a difference.
