DIY A/C troubleshooting help request

there are several good guides for other models but they don't seem to apply to the e9x m3 configuration. A few questions:

Is there only one pressure sensor on e9x or should I be able to find a low pressure sensor near the firewall? I only see one close to the compressor.

Can the pressure sensor wires be shorted to test it or is it providing variable pressure data?

It seems to be a variable clutch as the wheel is always spinning, where older designs the center of the wheel would stop. Is that correct? Or has my clutch seized if it is always spinning?

I have static pressure around 90 psi high and low, and the compressor never engages, so they stay equal, but go up a little with engine temp. Any chance this is still too low to trip the sensor to allow the compressor to engage?

Thanks
