Did you have the cloth seats?

Those things soak up soda really well. I think my passenger seat has at least 4 cans worth of Sprite in it.

Yup, had the cloth...I only had the car for a day or so, I didn't get a chance to test seat's ability to contain and absorb soda...next time I get one I will drive directly to 7-11 I think I will use Sprite for this experiment so they don't charge me for the cleaning.

Be VERY careful about that statement. Maybe FORDS handle like boats, BUT Corvettes do NOT!!!

My 2004 C5 Corvette Z06 I had out handled my 2008 M3, and had higher handling limits (1.06g Stock) and weighed in at ~3150lbs.

But all American cars break down 3 days after you take them off the lot. They aren't reliable and a friend of my friend's friend said one time he bought a new C6 Corvette and after it rained, his entire hood rusted and fell apart into dust!

Most of the interior is found in the other ford line up. Just my opinion.
I couldn't disagree more.

This car seems like a little bit of an embarrassment. Although if a friend bought one I would compliment him on it, at 500 horsepower, it is disappointing. In my stock 300 horsepower 335i I had better 1/4 times than most of the ETs they put in on the strip. I can't imagine that it could possible keep up with my bimmer on a canyon run. The fit and finish is probably nowhere near bimmer quality. I'll bet it even costs more to insure.

It would be interesting to see the Stig take it around the track on Top Gear and to hear what Clarkson and the gang have to say.

I was talking about the regular mustang, not the shelby. And even the shelby interior, while having cool seats, looks like a giant thing of hard plastic. Looks like its trying to be a classic car. Im sorry but im young. I dont want a car based off the looks of its grandfather car. I want a car looking to the future.

Why do the american muscle cars have to look to the past for ideas about current cars. Just create a good modern design! The retro junk is horrible.

That is why I like the Camaro so much. It's a modern car, but you can still see its 1969 heritage in it. Though the interior is more retro then the exterior is.

Plus, that is the in thing right now with the market for muscle cars is retro.

Ok, I see your point, but I still disagree both in regards to the interior and exterior.

Yeah, there's still a good amount of hard plastics in the new Stang's interior, but I think it's infinitely better than both the Challenger's (not hard to do) and the Camaro's. The Camaro has, depending upon your tastes, the slightest edge in design. I think it' gimmicky. It's boring and full of black and grey. I sat in the new Stang GT's interior and was thoroughly impressed with the improvements. More leather, with relatively attractive stitching, tons of contrast with red, black and silver, and clean, understandable gauges. Not up to the level of the 370Z, and I'm assuming the MkVI GTi's will have all of these licked.

Exterior-wise, I think the Mustang is by far the best attempt at a modern design, and honestly, I really didn't give much of a shit for the last gen which everyone says looks pretty much the same. They really don't. The new model has the best surfacing out of the muscle trio. It has well laid out, taught, crisp lines that visually shrink the car and give it a muscular look. The headlights are no longer jokes, what with proper detailing and a much more serious attitude. The fact that its greenhouse isn't slammed flat with the body means you can actually see out of it, too.

Id have to sit in a new one to see. Im sure they made some nice improvements with the new model. In its price range its nice. MKVI will be king but the mustang is geared for different people.

I just noticed that they no longer have the black plastic side mirrors thank goodness. Fix the suspension on the mustang and id bet that 2010 gt with some options is probably a cheap, fun, fast ride. Parts a plenty with im sure super cheap stuff to fix any problems. I can understand the attraction for some. When I was shopping in that price range way back, I went with the gti. I did test drive a mustang gt though but the interior and goofy color changing lights in the cup holders was just too much for me.

I guess it comes down to asian (370z, genesis), german (gti, gli) or american (mustang, camaro). Each car personality is well represented. I just favor the german style.

Worse the the c-class, lol? No sorry. What else is in its class? the s4/s5 which there are countless threads about. Some like the audi interior better and some dont. Having been in both and spent the weekend with both the 335 and s5 I decided that the 335s was better. Its a fantastic driver orientated cockpit.

so many badgewhores and so few car guys left on these forums

the 2010 mustang is pretty damn nice, the track pack versions are very quick on tracks, I'm not sure about short courses like autocross though

Just an FYI for those of you who think your 335s are better then a gt500 your nuts. My dad has 1 and with basic bolt ons hes looking at over 600hp.No words to describe how amazing it sounds while inside the car . If a gt500 owner did some suspension work in the rear, these cars with the stock blower can run in the 10s. No b.s its been done a hundred times. And im yet to see any 335i run close to that. Plus you can prob pick up a brand spanking new gt500 for about 45 46k if you shop around right. A fully modded/ fully optioned 335i runs close to 60k or more. Imagine putting 15 grand in a GT500.... Wouldnt even be close.

New GT500 is pretty badass. May not be a luxury equivalent to the 335i but it will flat out eat one on the road...

Lots of power but no thanks...I don't like the interior. I'd take my 335 anyday.

I'm no Mustang lover but the 2010+ interiors are way beyond anything you've seen in a mustang before. Not quite high-end German nice, but if you want Armani suit sophistication on the interior of a loud 550 hp GT coupe you can buy what? An AM DB-S for $250k?

I kind of like the new Mustang interior...
