Rasp Killer

So im looking for a way to kill my rasp and I just found this company on the web.

http://www.carchemistry.com/

They make exhaust inserts that slip into your midsection that can be secured down.

These can eliminate rasp and will quiet down the exhaust by about 7-10db.

Only downside is they will create a little backpressure. They make a 3 disk application for around 50 each

Why would you favor that vs. a small round muffler from say Magnaflow used as a resonator? They have a straight-through design and tend to add a deeper tone to the exhaust. I'm actually considering modifying my fabspeed to replace their resonators (which appear to be glasspacks) with this setup. I just need to get under the car and take some measurements.

Just a suggestion...

I can see the appeal of not having to permanently modify it, but I fail to see how that setup is going to absord much noise. I would also guess that it will introduce a decent amount of resistance. Just my opinion. Do they have some before/after vids or clips?

This isn't true. There's major rasp with the RPi system w/ version 1 x-pipe.

There's a very slight hint of rasp with Gintani catless system.

IMO if it's done right the rasp actually makes the car sound more unique. But if it's all out rasp then it doesn't sound good AT ALL.

Agreed . These cars get raspy as hell when you remove the primary cats. My Encore set-up gets raspy right around 3500-4500 rpms.
