GT2 has more power and is typically faster on the track. It also costs a lot more The GT3 is an awesome NA beast, though.

1) GT3 Costs much less

2) GT3 is for people who love High revolving NA engines

3) GT2 is more powerful, more torquey. It's an highway rocket

4) GT3 is a more track oriented car, even more in its RS version.

4) No one is "better" than the other. It's just a matter of philosophy.
GT3 : High RPM

GT2 : Mid range RPM with enormous torque and Horsepower.

Like George Takay would say in his deep voice, OH! Myyyyyy

Beautiful interior, the only thing i don't like is the wimpy stock wheels, that thing would be absolutely gorgeous on some matte black wheels.

Thanks all for the kind words. I can't wait till the break in period is completed so I get get on it a little. I've also done the rear center muffler bypass and the sound is just awesome. Still relatively quiet in 'Normal' mode but really screams in 'Sports' mode. Here are a few pics of the install and a short sound file

All I can do right now is drool! How does it compare with your old 997 turbo??? Please do write a little about it.

Already I think the 997.2 GT3 has established itself as the most exciting 911 in production, Porsche up the game even more with the 997.2 GT3 RS. 450 HP from 3.6 Liters, 8800 rpm redline, 6 speed and only 2960 lbs weight. What an amazing piece of machine this is.

GT3 2010 with Sharkwerks exhaust (don't miss the sharks sitting on the road in the vid):

The new RS generates 450 hp from 3.8 liters.

Isn't it 3.8 liters, like the GT3???

OP, gorgeous car man; congratulations. How it feels compared to the M3 in city driving? Similar powerbands (low/flat torque, high HP), I assume? Obviously the GT3 must feel quicker/faster everywhere, but curious if engines deliver their power in a similar fashion. Heck, even both rev to 8,400 rpm. By the way, I was surprised to see a split crankcase. Take care.
