Arrow I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT THE NEW JAGUAR XFR > M3 Vol: MY NEXT CAR PURCHASE SOON !

Has anyone seen the new Jag XFR. These cars are pure sex on wheels. I just test driven one a couple days ago and I am about to finalize my purchase. This Jag XFR is one of the most sexiest cars ever made. Im dumping my C55 AMG and get a Jag now. I was considering the M3 but not anymore. The 2010 XFR has a new V8 Engine Supercharged with 510hp. Not to mentions these cars have the best interiors thats far superior than competitors. I love the blue lighting of the gauges and ambiance that gives the interior a cool feeling. Also the ride is much more superior than AMG & M-Series. You have to test drive the XFR the Germans has nothing on the English engineering. This has got to be the hottest cars out. Also it can beat an M5.

XFR

Nice car - disagree that it is better looking than the M3... It is a very good car engineering... even looks... Well done on the order!

For the slightly older driver who is in the market for a pipe and slippers autobahn basher then either the Jag or the M5 is going to be a satisfying drive. If you something a little nimbler, then the M3 is the better choice.
Top gear laptimes:
BMW M3 1.25.3
BMW M5 1.26.2
Jag XFR 1.26.7

i think that guy works for jag. that's why he comes to a bmw forum and brags about his new ride. he is a new member brag'n about his new jag in a bmw forum saying how it smokes m3z and m5z. it would be like one of us going to a GM dealer and saying how our bimmers would smoke any american cars on that lot. i know i'm not that big of an idiot to do that, so it makes you wonder about the op of this thread.

The XFR is not targeted at the M3 - it is targeted at the M5, RS6, CTS-V, E63 et al - i.e. the larger sedan/saloon market.

At $80K US MSRP and 4300 lbs, totally different class of car than the M3.

Like most more powerful and heavier cars out there, the M3 still beats it around a track.

No doubt it is a worthy competitor for the M5, but BMW will strike back with the new M5...

OP.... Nobody drag races with their M3.

M3 is a track car.. and according to top gear: The XFR lost to the M3 and M5 on the track. So don't go around screaming about how german engineering sucks.

Anybody can build a fast car.

I've seen it in the flesh and don't like the looks at all but each to their own.
What exactly does it matter who owns the company??? Ford having more shares than anyone doesn't make a Jag a Ford???

Lotus are owned by Proton. Have you ever even heard of Proton? They're like crap Hyundai's. Has that made Lotus cars crap?? Nope. It's actually brought new cars that are as good or better than the previous models with a new Esprit on the way.

By that logic Chryslers are now actually Fiats. So HUGE improvement there then

... and Fiats are actually Ferraris. With this logic I'm signing up for the first Fiat 500 that will produced at Sterling Heights MI plant! Oh yeah! Gettin' a Ferrari!

It looks awesome! Very nice car. OP - it's a good choice. Unique, fast and good looking.

this post is irrelevant, he never owned an m3, neither is he talking about m3 vs Jag, this is just advertisement, and a bad one, fail

It's pretty lame to come onto this forum and talk about some other car that you just bought instead of an M3.

That being said, I drove the XFR as well as the CTS-V before my M3 showed up. Both have a tremendous amount of torque, although I enjoyed it more driving the Jag. Sure, the CTS-V did Nurburgring in blah blah blah, but how often do you see anyone driving a Caddy that isn't either really old or a wannabe gangster?

The only niggle I had with the Jag was the plastic used for the climate control and radio; it really looks out of place on an $80,000 car. The M3 interior may be a little boring for some, but it is solid quality all the way around. Otherwise I think the Jag is a great car.

Both cars felt just a little too big to me. They lack the pure athleticism of the M3. I have to admit the Top Gear lap times did play into my decision to get the M, although not as much as owning an E36 M3 and regretting ever sellling it.

To summarize for the OP: nice car, have fun, go post on a Jag forum if you can find one with more than three members.

My point exactly. What does it matter who owns them? A jag is a Jag regardless of who holds the shares. They're the people that provide the money to keep the company running and producing it's cars.

Have you seen the 500? Most excellent little car. If I had to drive something small I'd take on over the mini any day. The Abarth is a fun little car too. Can't understand why they don't bring it over this side of the pond for city driving. I can't remember the last time I drove though Toronto and wished I had 414bhp or an F350

And to the OP: STOP SHOUTING IN YOUR POST TITLES!

Where's the leaper? Waiting for footie to light this thread up.

When your too gray for a BMW, you get a M-B, when your too soft for a M-B you get a Yag-oo-arh or a hearse.

Everything points to a very nice automobile. The exterior though is underwhelming, the interior looks edgy, nicely designed.
