they only jacked 2 of your wheels?
anyways i know how you feel cuz i've been through the same shit
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248639
i went with the insurance company and they quoted me $5100 for my 18" wheels + tires, after depreciation from 7500 miles of tread wear.
If you choose to report the incident, i bet you can get a brand new 19" set from someone on this board selling them as soon as they take delivery

But if you guys can elaborate on this...i have a theory....When you park your car, turn your wheel hard to the left/right, so that way when they try to take off your wheels they wont have enough room to fully take it off the hub.

I do this because im on springs and they have NO room at all to maneuver the wheel off the hub. Not sure about stock suspension though...Anyways, good luck and again, sorry to hear.
Thanks for that advice, I have BBS wheels and I don't have locks on them, sounds like I should and I park outside on my drive too.

Even if you turn your wheel all the way, when they jack up the car POOF! It's easy access now

But thats more time for them to work, thus, they might not risk it.

I'd definitely get the insurance involved. First, it'll be a lot more than your deductible, and being under comprehensive, it shouldn't raise your rates. Good luck, and keep us posted.
They can place a towel over the window before they smash it to muffle the sound.

Yeah but what about the alarm noise. The window smash is just one problem! - guess they just smash the window when they are ready to remove the wheels except for the two locking nuts. So they will be gone real quick.

Garage for my m3 - always

Which Neighborhood?

Sorry to hear that. If you don't mind sharing I was wondering which neighborhood this happened in. I keep my car in a gated parking lot with cameras everywhere. This happened to an Acura Integra 5 years ago on my block. They left the car on milkcrates!

Depends on your neighbourhood methinks. Most people in my neighbourhood leave their cars outside at night and I'd say a fair number of people don't lock their cars.

Once you have access to the interior, you can pop the trunk with the release.

As others have asked, didn't the alarm go off? Both glass break and interior motiion would set it off, or don't you have the alarm? Worth it for sh*t like this. Sorry!

Yes, but if it's not in plain sight (or a routine place that anyone would normally check), putting it with the mobility kit in the trunk would thwart most thieves.

The glove box is probably the worst place of all...

Just a genereal thought, but might be a good idea for us to engrave our names and DL numbesr somewhere inside your rims so that if stolen they can be identified/recovered.
