Front bumper cleaning - neglected, bugged and nicked

If anyone has suggestions on detailing sites to point me toward, that would be great too!

OK - I'll admit my problems are not with the 1800 mile M3, but my G35. This group just seems the most likely to have suggestions/leads on finding a solution to this detailing problem. Hopefully I'll never find the M3 bumper in this condition, but that's what I thought about the G too!

I need ideas/suggestions for cleaning of accumulated mess on the front end of this car. It's been kept (relatively) well waxed and washed regularly, but has 130K of abuse on the roadways. The buildup on the front end is to the point of being annoying, will not come off with anything up to the level of Griot's #1 polish (http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...h%29+16+oz..do). It's the combination of embedded road dirt and bugs you'd expect after that many miles. At least it's black, but it still doesn't look the way I'd like it to.

I've seen you guys refer to a soaking solution and other tactics to restore this to something like new-ish prior to resealing and waxing. Can you point me the right way please?

this is how i would handle the situation

first give it a good soak with a product like 1Z anti-Insekt, then give it a wash with Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash n Clear, then if that didnt work, spray P21s Total Auto Wash (straight, not diluted) on and let that soak for a minute or two, and wash the area again. then i would clay the affected area, and if it still didn't look any better then i would resort to machine polishing.

If i had to resort to polishing i would start with a green pad and Menzerna PO203S (Power Finish) and see if it cleared up to my liking, if not then i would bump it up to an orange pad with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish, and if that still wasnt good enough, then a Purple Foamed wool pad with Menzerna Power Gloss or Meguiar's M95. and then if that wasnt good enough... get it repainted...
