Headlight adjustment after lowering...

I have a set of H&Rs sitting in my garage ready to be installed but I am somewhat hesitant to put them on after recently reading posts regarding the adjustment of the lights after the job's completed.

Is there a proper way to lower the lights to bring them back to stock settings after the lowering process? If so, where do I find it? If not, is it just an estimation as to where the lights were shining before the install?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Tom

Someone posted a pic on here in one of the threads awhile back. I just shined mine on a wall at night and adjusted them to the point where they won't shine in oncoming drivers eyes. You don't need to worry too much about it. If people keep flashing you at night just lower them a bit more.

You park your car 25 feet away from a wall. Get a tape measure and measure from the ground to your headlight.

Now go to the wall where the lights are shining and adjust the headlights so they are a few inches below the measurement you took of the headlight/ground.

Thanks for your inputs. I should probably ask how does one go about adjusting the headlights?

How do you adjust the headlight so they can reach farther?

Raise the headlights to effectively shine farther out.

there's a big screw on the top of the headlights, it's plastic and has bumps around the edge that look like grips for your fingers to grab onto and turn. But you will probably need a screwdriver cause it's too tight to turn by hand.
