BMW M3 catalytic convertor

I recently upgraded the exhaust on my 08' M3 to Eisenmann Sport because I wasn't getting the raw sound of a true V8. I am still not happy with the sound. I was wondering if anyone has tried removing the catalytic convertor on their M3 and replaced it with a free flow pipe. Let me know.

Ive done the AA xpipe and HFC and it is way more. I am pretty sure you'd be happy plus a good tick in power through the revs

about half the threads in this section can answer your question directly, since most people posting here have done it (some have even tried a few different options related to your question). Just do some catching up being that you are new. Plenty of aftermarket pipes, some have resonators, many high flow cats, some straight (like mine - RPi). Lots of info if you look for it here to help you make a decision on what you want to do.

I have the Eisenmann Sport with Fabspeed X pipe, no secondary cats, and high flow primaries. HUGE increase in sound. I would not want more volume in any circumstance.
2009 Space Gray Carbon Leather E90 with DCT, Tech package, and EPS. Mods: Fabspeed 200 cell cats, Xpipe w/resonators and no secondary cats, BPM tune, Euro DCT software, Eisenmann Sport Mufflers, Vorsteiner Rear Diffuser II, SWS8 subs, JL Audio XD400 bridged 2X200W, built in radar
