Nu Finish - #1 rated polish, would any BMW owners let it near their car?

I've had my M3 (white) for a couple months now, and it is now time to get some polish on 'er. I've never paid for professional detailing; I've only ever used inexpensive waxes or polishes on my previous cars (ok, not the worst waxes out there, but certainly common everyday products). I need some fellow M3 owners to help guide me what product(s) they recommend. I'm not really interested in a mega-multi staged deals, just something reasonably simple. I must admit, I've used Nu Finish in the past, and I'm expecting to get blasted on this forum for using such a "top forty" product. But I did think it lasted/worked quite well. So, I'm open to some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I use Meguiars NXT. It is fairly long lasting and does a great job of hiding minor swirls in dark paint.

NuFinish is one of the most durable, hot weather waxes. Great for daily drivers.

I use Dupont Teflon Premium. Lasts long and give you a real shine.

NuFinish is a very durable wax, but at a price. It is super hard to take off with lots of dust. I ended up with Liquid Glass after trying all of them for years (meguires, zymol, etc). It comes in a tin and its quite expensive, but it has a great shine, lasts long and is super easy to take on and off. Check out this bead up!

No issues with Liquid Glass. I would agree, less dust than Nu-Finish. Not quite the post bling-bling feeling that I used to get after waxing my sparkling graphite 330i, however, I'm still enjoying the white. Thanks for the suggestions!

+1 Pretty much anything made by Meguiars will do the job for a decent price.

+1 on the liquid glass!

most people today think it's garbage, but put a few coats on while baking in the sun inbetween coats... tough to beat

I love Zainos #5. It is easy to put on and take off, plus it lasts a long time. I've been using it for 7 years and no complaints. You can see the glossy shine in the below pics.

Yah, after the first coat it doesn't really seem to coat that well. But if you bake it then later apply a second coat, it gets that slippery surface that makes the water bead up so nice. There seems to be little benefit to additional coats after that, other than a maintenance coat maybe 2-4 times a year (depending on your level of effort ).

BTw, as for application, It doesn't seem to respond well to random orbitals. It coats well, but applies very thin. I find that a round terry cloth covered sponge works best. I put a slit in one side at the edge and slide a few fingers in.

You said you want to put polish on the car, but then you mention a wax. A wax protects and a polish corrects.

BTW, the Liquid Glass tin says its a polish, but its really a wax. There are no abrasive properties to my knowledge.

Can any pro's confirm that?

I use Lusso Oro for the top finish, works pretty good. Whats better Liquid Glass or Lusso?

I am not a pro, but I've used Liquid Glass on various cars for about 15 years and never had any issue! I've tried new waxes over the years but none seem to offer the same qualities (easy apply/off, LONG lasting, great shine, slippery surface).

BTW, This is a pic I snapped (same as the one above):

I snapped another pic. This is two months after the pic above, and three months since I waxed it last. Still beading up like a champ!

Notice the drops are a bit smaller now. Time to wax in another month or two.
