I have Jerez and love the color. It is dark blue in direct sunlight and looks black the rest of the time. I would say get jet black if you don't want any color. You can also get a custom color if you want to do the individual program. They have a black metalic called azurite. I am not sure if you can order individual in the Philippines and I think it adds 5 grand.
This is what azurite looks like on a 335 sedan: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182989

I prefer JB and another thing to consider is that metallic paints hold up better over time - at least that's my understanding but maybe others can comment.

Jet Black looks really really good when clean...but that's the caveat, when clean. Jet Black is real hard to maintain and you have to take extra care to prevent swirls. With that said, it's unbelievably stunning if taken care of correctly.
I would do Jerez because it's unique to the M3 and adds a bit of dimension with the flakes. With that said, I do hate to spend the extra $500 or whatever the charge is for some metal flakes. |

I was just like you, wanted Black but couldn't decide even as I walked into the dealer to place the order. As we sat there and the question came up both the wife and the salesman insisted that I go Jerez. One of the compelling arguements the salesman made besides its unique look was since it was a metallic paint it would not tend to develop(or at least show) the swirls you see so frequently on Black cars.
Long story short, I love it! Fabulous color. Is a pain in the ass to keep clean but I knew the challenge going in having owned several black cars in the past. When you glance at the car it's black. Take a longer look and under certain light conditions its got a cool Midnight Blue at certain angles. It really stands out and I am very glad I got it. With that said I am sure I would love the Jet Black also, but for me Jerez was definatly the right choice even if I didn't know it at the time. One little plus, I give my wife grief all the time that she forced me to buy a blue car despite my better judgement. Never hurts to have the wife feeling a little guilty even though I think by now she knows how much I like it. |

I was a huge Carbon Black lover, and I honestly think I would go for a Jet M3 over Jerez. I would prefer Black Sapphire still...

Jet black..my last car was jet black..nothing looks better then jet black when it's clean..only problem is that it's only clean for about an hour. Then again, it all comes down to what you prefer.

I wanted Sparkling Graphite, like my old 330Ci, but got JB as SG was discontinued for 2009. The more I see JB under different conditions, the better I like it. Just saw a SG 2008 the other day and had no remorse over my choice.
