E90 M3's seems pretty rare in Chicago ?

I have contacted the two biggest dealers in Chicago. Patrick BMW in Schaumburg, and Laurel BMW in Westmont. And neither of them has the 4 door E90 in stock, and can't even find any close they said. They do have plenty of 2 door coupes, but 4 doors seem pretty rare in Chicago ?

Whats up with the E90 M3, were there much fewer put into production ?

Well i know for 09s they cut production big time.

I havent seen a sedan M3 at Patrick BMW since around March and even then they only had one.

How about ordering a custom one?

I did search a few other BMW dealers online, and found these used ones;
http://www.perillobmw.com/site/used_...&Submit=Submit

The only one I am interested in possibly is the 2008 Sparkling Graphite with 3,xxx miles. What is the best price something like that should be selling for ? They are asking $54k

Sparkling Graphite is a great color (and will be rare since they stopped the color after 2008 production.) The price is high (no surprise coming from Perillo) - shoot for high $40s. I like that IB car as well - what colors are you looking for?

Definitely. I rarely see M3 Sedan's at my local dealerships. I only see M3 coupes, coupes, and more coupes. To me the M3 Sedan is more special than the Coupe........Just because I said so.

Exterior colors I like are; SilverStoneII, Black or Grey. Interior I love Red leather. And 6 speed manual.

A good forum member here referred me to a 2008 launch product vehicle available out of state. It is SSII color, red leather, 6 speed manual. Selling for $11k off MSRP at $55k, with just 136 miles, fully optioned. Pretty much a brand new vehicle.

Just need to dump this X5 with 4 months of lease payments. I heard BMW is offering deals to wipe off 3 months payments if I move to a new BMW. But not sure this 08 qualifies ?

Dennison BMW in Bloomington Illinois (2 hour drive from Chicago) still has their 2008 launch car: black M3 sedan, with fox red leather).

Ask for Chuck Speicker.

Sweet thanks That is the car I am looking for. Would love the DarthMaul look

Whats a good price to shoot for ? I hear on those 08 launch models I should get it below $55k ?

I spoke to Lynn back in May. She said they are a small dealership and will not go lower than $58120 (MSRP: 68920).

Maybe now, they will go lower.

Good luck.

In all honesty what truly is a fair price for this car ? I know in North Carolina there is also a 2008 "launch" E90 M3 for sale, with just 150 miles. They are down to $56k asking price. Had a MSRP of like $68k

Not sure about today's prices but my 08 E90 with a $67k sticker sold for $59k... last September. Depending on how important it is for you to buy a new car v. a slightly used 08, I wouldn't pay much over $50k. Are you financing it? That is another consideration - better financing rates for new v. used. Paying mid-50s for an 08 when 2010 models will be delivered in another few months means you will take a huge hit right off the bat.

I wonder why the two dealers that have 08 "launch" models for sale aren't willing to give better pricing ? I mean come on $56k-$58k is way too high for a 2008 E90 in my opinion

Not to worry I pick up my shelia next Friday.... My 09 E90 SSII will be stalking the northside starting July 5th.

Also those pricing for the 08 are crazy... I got mine for 60070 fully loaded (ED delivery).

You can't find E90s on the lot because dealers won't order them since they're so unpopular. They have a better chance of selling coupes and convertibles.

I was at Dennison BMW today getting my 1,200 mile service, and I spoke to Chuck who said that you had been in contact with him.

I think that they are motivated to sell the 2008 M3 sedan, and move on.

I replied to Chuck's e-mail over the weekend, and I sent a detailed description of what I wanted. First off, get rid of my leased X5 which just has 3 months left on the lease anyways, and also put little down payment on the M3, and that they would have to move off that $58k asking price. Have not heard back since
