Full akrapovic + Full technocraft = reduced performance?
I have heard that in combination, the 2 systems will result in lack of backpressure, hence, decreased performance。 is this true? is there a solution to this potential problem?

since those combined mods will add 43 whp (15 whp Full technocraft and 28 Full akrapovic), you should probrably get a power chip tune on top of that which would probrably give you around 20whp so then you know you not losing low end torque or back pressure. With those 3 mods your looking around 60whp

it is the right/balanced mix of mods that will give you the real power. but I am also suspecting that a custom ECU tune might be a must on a full intake + hi-flow or straight exhaust combo. |

GET it its good. I would keep it but I am getting a supercharger so I sold it to a forum member in HK. PM me if you have any problems or questions I was the first in asia to get this setup. Cheers my fellow Chinese Brother

YOu will come close but not 500hp. you will hit about 390-400 whp. The best I got was 388whp but that is without the Envy full set up.

When designing exhaust systems, it's important to balance two key factors: exhaust flow velocity, and exhaust flow volume. The intended goal is always to evacuate as much exhaust gas from the combustion chamber as possible, to provide room for a clean intake charge in the next intake stroke, and even to possibly introduce a scavenging effect that will "force" intake air into the combustion chamber. A high flow velocity will help to evacuate exhaust gasses. A high flow volume will do this also. The issue is, to increase flow volume, you increase piping size. To increase flow velocity, you reduce piping size. As you increase piping size, flow volume increases, but flow velocity decreases. As you decrease piping size, flow velocity might increase, but flow volume will decrease. So of course there is an ideal balance for each engine, and this balance is different for each engine based on it's volumetric efficiency, target operating range in terms of RPM, etc... Of course there are other factors involved, and this is a highly simplified version of things, but that's the basic rule. At the extreme end, a 6" pipe would reduce flow velocity to such a degree that power loss would occur, while a 1/4" pipe would reduce flow volume to such a degree that power loss would also occur. This is how the "too much flow is bad" myth got started. Too little flow velocity is bad. More exhaust flow will mean more power every time, all other factors being equal. Of course, there are many other factors to consider, and I'm by no means an expert in exhaust systems engineering, I just know a few things.

I have 460hp with full Akra + Airbox and remap. Not sure if you can reach 500hp unless you do what Pencil Geek did or go for a Supercharger.

the whp is the thing that matters anyways... if you want to brag to your friends that you have "500 horsepower" than you can just lie to them and say you do... because they won't know the difference anyways..

akra isnt going to provide the most power, if you want the most power from an exhaust do the full gintani system....and from what i've seen technocraft is a bunch of bullshit, your stock intake is the best dont mess with it juss change the filter

yes I am talking about technocraft envy. The Akrapovic is a work of art.
