When I wanted to see videos, I just went to you tube, search Summit Point main course, found many videos. Also trackpedia has a copy of the main track you can print out. Fun course to track, nice striaght was able to get to 128mph was amazed how late I could break going into turn one. You will have a great time saw a couple weeks last week, driver error to the max.

We missed you! As it was, there were 6 E9X M3s in the red run group! Throw in the M6 that was also there and we're talking over 3,000 HP!

I ran in the green group in my trusty old E46, and had a blast. Yesterday was dry during the day, but the sky opened up between the last run and the barbeque at 6:00. This morning, the rain ended just before the first run, so the track was wet at the start of the green group. It was dry by the second run. I had to leave at 1:30, so I'm not sure if it stayed dry the rest of the day.

The track looks worse than it is, with lots of patches and different looking surfaces, but the grip is generally pretty good. The concrete patch in turn one is pretty good, although there are a couple of bumpy spots at the end of the patch. They don't seem to upset the car, though. The pavement on the carousel looks like hell, but again, the grip seems OK. The puddle on the inside of the carousel stayed around for most of the day. There's an alarming looking ditch at the end of the curb on the inside of 9, but I don't think it came into play.

I always have a great time at SPR, and the section from top of the hill, through 4, and down the chute into 5 is a tremendous thrill!

This is an update to yesterday's post. I really didn't notice any big problems with track conditions, but reports I've read today indicate that the sealant on turns five through seven were causing problems for the club racers. Apparently it started balling up into marbles. I left mid-day Sunday, and I really didn't notice it. I figured lack of traction was just caused by my hot greasy tires on Saturday afternoon and the wet track on Sunday morning.

The track wasn't bad. I expected a lot worse from what I read. Also, the track wasn't that slick even when wet with the exception being when the drivers hit the puddles and splashed water into the braking zone.
