ECU remapping effective only at WOT?

I'm curious as to how the ECU remapping works.

Are the advertised gains only effective when the car is in open loop(WOT)?

Do the tuners only tune the open loop maps if there is such a thing?

If so, the car will run like stock if operating in a closed loop ?

Negative, Ghost Rider. Remapped ECU's provide increased power and sharper throttle response at all throttle positions.

Increasing throttle response: is that like having the power mode on? Although I think its different but I need some clarification.

I think all the power button does is amplify your throttle inputs.

Somehow I think normal mode is the best. It's much easier to modulate the throttle even the instructors at M school said so. So with an ECU tune, it'll probably behave like the sport + program huh.

Is it possible to specify this to the tuners so that they do not change the throttle mapping?

+1 on the normal throttle. The sport and sport plus make me too "jumpy" when in the middle of a turn. Perhaps I'm not used to it, but the normal setting feels most natural.
