Detail experts: any potential paint problems on hood for not having insulator?

Just wondering if that can become an issue in the long term, as hood gets too hot to touch even inside my garage after a while of being parked. And yes, we're talking triple digits outside. This is my first car in a long time that doesn't have a hood insulator. Maybe it was a clearance issue, a cheapness issue, or both .

If you have any recommendations, like waxing it every so often, please let us know. Many thanks.
