benz dealership
I went to turn in my winter ride today, my 5 series lease was up. And I figured I would check out the benz dealership. I fell in love and I think I going to get a another car. It was a 08 clk 63 AMG. I'm going to go back tomorrow and do a test drive. I came home and checked the car out it has like 475 horses and 495 torque. What a beast
Maybe a impulse buy but man I feel as excited as when I first ordered my M. I think I have a problem. I really love cars. Can't wait tlll tomorrow I hope it compare to the M3.

Unless you're getting a fantastic deal I wouldn't do it. The '08 body style is already antiquated and is being replaced by the C-coupe in 2010 I believe, though I'm not quite sure. It will also feel slow and unstable in corners compared to your M. And if you're excited with the torque and straight-line performance I would just go out and buy a used/new z06. You'd save a ton of dough, it would be faster and more fun in corners, and it's still a second car. Well, if you need the back seats then I guess my point is moot, but whatever. In my opinion, if any AMG is worth getting it would be the Black Series, but they're exponentially more expensive.

Unless, he got the figures wrong I don't think so. The BS has 500 horsepower and less torque. 475 is the horsepower rating for the regular AMG CLK.

+1000. I'd spend money on something else. I'd rather have a 2010 GT3 and a daily than an M3 and CLK63. An M3 is a great daily car, that can double up as a fun car but to have that plus a CLK63 just seems really iffy.

At least the S63 and CLS63 don't look like a hopped-up tissue box. Other than the engine sound I don't see the draw of the C63.
Actually, I think I would rather have a CLS550 than a C63. I would definitely take a S550 over the C63 in a heartbeat. Gotta love the S class.

dont see why you would get a CLK? the body style is old, it handles poorly compared to your M.
IF anything, the CLK AMG should be your daily driver and the M be your weekend car, simply because it is more fun. But why buy two of the same type of car (even though they are so different)

How much are they asking for the CLK 63?
You could probably pick up used CLK 63 Black for around 80k. If the one you are considering is anywhere near 70k, I'd get a used BS...

I have a CLK63 Black Series with 14000 miles on it with new rubber that I'll part with for $75k. I love the car but I have GT3 coming in and I really don't want two cars that I can't drive 6 months a year. Don't buy the standard CLK63. Is it a vert?

Yea the one I was looking at was a vert. I should have mentioned. My mom has a 04 clk 500 that she rarely drives. It has only 27000 kms. So I was thinking of trading thats for the 08 clk 63 and paying the difference. They are asking 80 grand for the car it has 2000 kms. This is in Canadian. The mrsp on the car was 117000. Obviously there are a bunch of other AMGs I would rather have but my moms got to drive it sometime and even the sl 500 or cl 500 is like a extra 40 grand.

clk63 is the worst 63 in AMG line-up. poor handling, outdated technology/performance, ugly exterior/interior imo. get something else other than a clk63
