Red face When's the soonest I'll see my M3?

Hello everyone!

My order for my M3 was processed on May 20th. I checked with my sales rep and he said the status code for my M3 is at: 150, which basically means "production has started".

When's the earliest I'll get my hands on my car? I've been told mid-late July. Do you think I can get lucky and get it surprisingly sooner?

The build will finish pretty quick, but you're probably still looking at 6-8 weeks. Shipping seems to take FOREVER.

Well my ship was suppose to have docked on the 6th but it seems it is late and won't even dock till the the 9th. So that means I wont get my car for another two weeks since I leave the day after it was suppose to get here for a trip.

Man! I'm sorry for that happening with you. Since the date it will dock is off by 3 days, the delivery should be off by 3 days only.....Oh well.

I've heard shipping is the main problem, and that things can go wrong. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

True story but I'll be out of town so I just hope my ship doesn't crash into another like this one did a while back.

Good news! Got a Call from my SA and he said the ship docked today and should be starting VPC today as well! I guess the internet was wrong.

Looks like were just about in the same boat. I think my order was processed on May 22, and according to bmw owners circle (who knows how accurate that is), it's scheduled for production.

But I know what you mean, the wait is agonizing.

I feel your pain. I'm actually on the other side of the coin. If my car gets here in six weeks, I'll be out of town, and won't be back until the 7th week. If it does get here then, that one week will be really tough.

Mid to late July seems to be right. My whole process took about 33 days total.

Thought I would pop back in and update you guys on my story. So my SA called again this morning and said my car would be ready tomorrow instead of Saturday. I asked him how this could be and he stated that the boat docked on Monday went through VPC yesterday and this morning and at 9am it was handed over to the trucking company for shipment. Since I live in AZ it is only a 8 hour drive so it should arrive today and be prepped for a tomorrow delivery.

I placed my order on May 16th, it got put into the computer on the 18th. I am scheduled to pick the car up at the Performance Center on July 17th. Unfortunately there is some big M event that weekend and they won't have any M models for me to thrash on for the 2 hr driving thing, but that's OK with me since I get to leave in my own M.

Mine has finished production!! It's now awaiting transport, but I guess shipment is the longest part of the process, so I've probably got another month to go.
