The set I ordered 255/18/35 and 275/18/35 is taking a MONTH for me to get. Luckily I don't need them just yet and I have a second set of wheels that I can swap out, but it would be a big problem if I had to replace a tire far away from home.

In 45 years of driving I've maybe ruined one tire to the point of needing to replace it. Flats are repairable more often than not. Worst case is you need to wait a couple days to get one flown in. PS2s in the correct size are certainly more common, but not necessarily available immediately in all but the largest cities. Good question, though.

Guys, if there are more people that have used these tyres please speak up and provide your feedback. I would be very interested to hear opinions as I might go the Vred way. My stock PS2s will need replacement soon...
I think if there are any problems with these tires, you'd see a LOT of people bashing on them, but you don't. That tells you something there since people are much more likely to post a negative comment than a positive comment when everything is working well.

Mine are finally broken in and are sticking nicely. I don't have a track day to compare, but for street driving, they're great. They are a little stiffer on the any impacts, an thus a little louder as well on impact; this is expected given the stiffer sidewall.

I read somewhere that the manufacturer recommends higher PSI inflation for these tires but can't find any more specific info. Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks Greg for your feedback -- I have never had an issue with a tire myself either, but was food for thought since the M3 has no spare or RFT. I personally I think its worth the gamble since these tires seem to be an incredible value

Mine has a spare, but then that's another thread. I also carry a plug kit.

Absolotely true but it could also be that no-one, or very few use them (which may send a negative signal). I don't think so but it is also a posibility...

Thanks for your feedback - please keep us posted when you get to push the tyres more.

U get what u pay for!

U can never compare the performance/handling from a PS2 to a Vredestein!

Vredestein performance tires for automobles are produced in the Netherlands, just like they've always been. You sound pretty clueless, because you obviously haven't done any research on the performance of these tires. Wiki . . . really.

This is so idiotic on so many levels, it is actually quite remarkable.

"The primary factory is at Enschede, The Netherlands, while other products like agricultural tyres and bicycle tires are manufactured overseas (e.g. India, Thailand, Indonesia)."

im sorry if that sounded ignorant, but the tire itself suck!

I said that u cant compare a PS2 with a Vredestein! They dont play in the same league.

Anyways, You have a $70K car and you trying to safe some money on tires...
I had the Vredestein before and I was really disappointed
IMO

Maybe the Tractor tires weren't fitting on his rims right?

I did a lot of research on these tires before ordering a set. The responses were overwhelmingly positive. It seems they are a little greasy before break-in but after that they perform well.

It'll be a few more weeks before I can add my own personal review.

I think his handle says it all, but the Vred tread is pretty pimp, IMO.

This thread is great. Going to get a set of these. Thanks for all the info!

Stupid question...do new tires require new TPMS too or can I reuse the stock ones?

Thanks!

You can reuse the OEM ones. After several years the batteries will give out, though.

I've ordered a set of 275/35 square for my autox/track setup. I'll put in a review when I get some miles on them.

I've had a full set installed by my BMW dealer last Tuesday and they reinstalled the OEM TPMS sensors. So far I hae no complaints with the Vred's. And in wet conditions, I find them a little better than the PS2.
