tire swap

I currently have the PS2's that came with the stock 19's. My question is how do the PS2's compare to the NITTO INVO's or the TOYO TR1's? would I see a difference in handling, better or worst?

PS2s are top-rated, but as with all questions on tires it's always a trade-off. What are you looking for? Best price, wear, handling, cold vs. warm, rain, etc? You'll get different answers for each category. You're best off doing a lot of research yourself, and thinking about what is most important to you.

It's very tough to beat the PS2s in the handling department for a street tire in street use, that also do a good job in the rain.

I find the Nitto INVO's grip about 80-90% of the PS2's, and requiring a much shorter time to get them in "optimal grip" temperature. The PS2's took about double the time to get them to grip 100%.

Steering response I find the INVO's only about 60-70% of the PS2's. The PS2's steering response is precise and quick where as the INVO's feel sluggish.

Price, the INVO's were $300 flat for my rears (285/30/19) while the PS2's in the same size were $452. Yes, this is PER tire.

Can't beat the PS2 for performance. Best wet and dry traction available by any tire.

Look at the new Pirelli P Zero's for ultimate street performance. I just got them and they rock!!! Performance wise they are ahead of the PS2s. Crisper turn-in, more grip.

In TireRack's latest tests, they beat out the PS2 as well.

OR

if you want EXTREME performance, go look at the new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's, That was my 1st choice but they are not available in the sizes I need yet on my HRE wheels, but I will probably go with them when the PZeros wear out, as I am sure they will expand the sizes by then. Just remember the treadwear rating on them is 180, not the 220 like the PZeros or the PS2s.

+1 Can't beat the PS2 for performance. But I think the Invo is a great "bang for the buck"!
