I'd love to have the stoker. Better price than RD sport also.

But I think the 4.10's are first, then possibly software, since it's covered with warranty and my BMW dealer will be installing it.

I think that the difference in price is in Dinan swapping the your engine with one of them and RD Sport building the stroker with your engine...

Called Dinan today to see what was up...


...basically the guy told me he only knew 500+HP at the crank, not wheels. You lose your engine by doing this swap, and he did not believe it included anything special in regard to the plenum/intake/etc...

In typical Dinan fashion, it will be covered by the 4/50k warranty. First customer orders ship out in June.

That is what I was told today. Thought I'd pass it along. They're working on getting graphs.

why would you change to this
4.10 Limited Slip Differential - Manual?
what benefits do you get over stock...i just dont fully know its purpose, only for track gains?

After I had the 4.10 installed there is noticeably more torque.
That said you do have to shift a little earlier and you loose a little top end.
As well I feel more compression when I down shift.
I estimate you loose about a mile/gallon.
If you can manage the wheel spin definitely feels faster off the line.

I don't think they just swap your motor ... in that case some DMV paper work might be involved and I don't think they want to deal with that ... I might be wrong ...

How do you think this performance software upgrade will stack up to Turner's Stage 1? Turner's HP and torque gains are higher, but I always respect Dinan's discrete approach -

I am pretty sure a new short block is installed in place of yours. Yours goes back as their core.

Check the M5 post vids, I am pretty sure Steve Dinan actually said so.
