Post Dinan Goodies for the M3

Found this info browsing thru their website
http://www.dinancars.com/store/home.php?&cat=786

Products now available for the E9x M3

Free Flow Exhaust
High Flow Throttle Bodies
4.10 Limited Slip Differential - Manual
3.45 Limited Slip Differential - M Double Clutch Transmission
3.62 Limited Slip Differential - M Double Clutch Transmission
Dinan + Brembo Front and Rear Brakes
Stage 1 Suspension (for E90 and E92 M3)
Stage 2 Suspension (for E90 and E92 M3)
Stage 3 Suspension (for E90 and E92 M3)
28.5mm Front Sway Bar
Performance Engine Software
4.6 Liter 500+ Horsepower Performance Engine. (Accepting Pre-Orders)

Some of the suspension must be from the 335 perhaps? Any ideas?

Looks like the stroker is coming $25k for it per the website

I'd love to have the stoker. Better price than RD sport also.

But I think the 4.10's are first, then possibly software, since it's covered with warranty and my BMW dealer will be installing it.

I am interested in the stage 2 and 3 suspension, but where are you finding that information? Or are they not released yet?

I think that the difference in price is in Dinan swapping the your engine with one of them and RD Sport building the stroker with your engine...

Why is that? Does the RD come with some sort of contract?

Since most people don't just change a stroker motor alone, buying everything else at cost gives a huge advantage to one vs. the other.

Now that I have the RD stroker, I don't feel like it would be ethical for me to call Dinan and ask them what is included with their stroker. But I do believe everybody here would love to know. I'll see if I can send an email to my contact over there and ask.
im pretty sure they wouldn't care.

But knowing dinan it will probably include everything from intake to headers... any exhaust parts after that are your own cost.

The site also says 4.5L if you look in the specials section at $25,999.00 Unless that's a different stoker conversion.

4.6 Liter 500+ Horsepower Performance Engine. (Accepting Pre-Orders)

Where is that on the site? I only see the one that gives a gain of 9HP

Called Dinan today to see what was up...

...basically the guy told me he only knew 500+HP at the crank, not wheels. You lose your engine by doing this swap, and he did not believe it included anything special in regard to the plenum/intake/etc...

In typical Dinan fashion, it will be covered by the 4/50k warranty. First customer orders ship out in June.

That is what I was told today. Thought I'd pass it along. They're working on getting graphs.

why would you change to this
4.10 Limited Slip Differential - Manual?
what benefits do you get over stock...i just dont fully know its purpose, only for track gains?

After I had the 4.10 installed there is noticeably more torque.
That said you do have to shift a little earlier and you loose a little top end.
As well I feel more compression when I down shift.
I estimate you loose about a mile/gallon.
If you can manage the wheel spin definitely feels faster off the line.

I don't think they just swap your motor ... in that case some DMV paper work might be involved and I don't think they want to deal with that ... I might be wrong ...

it is good to see Dinan is cooking something . Always been a fan, a company that is reputable and stands behind their products.

How do you think this performance software upgrade will stack up to Turner's Stage 1? Turner's HP and torque gains are higher, but I always respect Dinan's discrete approach -

I am pretty sure a new short block is installed in place of yours. Yours goes back as their core.

Check the M5 post vids, I am pretty sure Steve Dinan actually said so.
